This week seems to be never ending but I hope you all have had a wonderful Thursday. I’m in a super awesome mood right now, I just ate a bunch of Oreo’s, took a long, hot shower, and am snuggling under a blanket watching Gossip Girl. I get questions and comments about my makeup all the time and if I’m being honest a good amount of my makeup can break the bank. So today I’ve rounded out my top five favorite products from the drugstore… and the best part, they’re all under ten dollars!! I hope you guys enjoy and are feeling as happy as I am today. Wishing you the best. With love, McKenz.
#1: Rimmel Stay Matte Powder – I’ve used this powder for almost three years now and I’ve loved it since the day I started using it. I find that this product keeps my face makeup completely matte throughout the entire duration of the day and at the same time provides great pigmentation and a smooth finish. You can purchase it at all drugstores and Ulta for only $4.99. I use this product everyday and it lasts me about six months for one pan.
Wear Time: 8.5 Pigmentation: 8.5 Overall: 9 Shade: 004 Sandstorm
#2: Maybelline Color Whisper – This is probably the sheerest lipstick I own but it’s honesty in my top three favorite lipsticks. Although on my hand it appears that this product has no color pay off at all, my lips are much paler, obviously, so it looks like a light nude that has more brown undertones rather than peach when on the lips. Another reason I adore this lipstick is that you don’t need a mirror to apply and it looks lightweight like a balm. They are $7.49 and can be purchased at all drugstores and Ulta.
Wear Time: 7 Pigmentation: 7.5 Overall: 8 Shade: 15 Some Like It Taupe
#3: Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer – I have the worst under eye circles in the history of under eye circles and unfortunately they are super hard to cover. This concealer has a sponge applicator and masks the blue under eyes that appear due to my vainy under eyes. I like to set this with the banana powder from my Anastasia Contour Kit to ensure that it looks like I got more than seven hours of sleep. This concealer is $7.99 from all drugstores and Ulta.
Wear Time: 8.5 Pigmentation: 8 Overall: 9 Shade: Light Medium
#4: Covergirl Bombshell Curvaceous Mascara – The Covergirl clump crusher has always been one of my favorite mascara for the fact that it has amazing separation. As much as this mascara isn’t the best for volumizing (that’s why I layer this with the Too Faced Better Than Sex) I find that I love this for a super natural and clean look. This product is $7.99 and can be purchased from all drugstores and Ulta.
Wear Time: 9 Pigmentation: 8 Overall: 9 Shade: Black
#5: Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo- I figured I would save my absolute favorite drugstore product for last. If you’re familiar with MAC’s paint pots, this is basically the same thing but costs a fourth of the price. I use this every day after my primer and before my eyeshadow. I use this as a base to ensure my eyeshadow lives up to its full potential but I find that these work great without a primer or even eyeshadow on top of it. It’s so versatile and lasts for hours and I love the warm champagne shade for every day. And the best part is, it’s only $6.99 and can be purchased at all drugstores and Ulta.
Wear Time: 10 Pigmentation: 1o Overall: 10 Shade: 77 Barely Branded
