Good morning friends; if you’ve never been around for one of my ‘Beauty Basics’ posts; welcome! Today I am here to share with you the difference between contour and bronzer. Along with that, the purpose of both products!
Contouring is most easily defined as shaping your face to alternate your features. It’s most commonly used to slim down the nose, forehead, and cheeks. My favorite product to contour with is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contntour Kit. It has one powder, one highlight, one banana powder, and three contouring powders; all for $42. To contour I apply some product on an angled brush and work the product down the sides of my nose to slim it. I then work some product into the hollows of my cheeks and blend down towards the lips. I also work some into my temples to make the forehead appear a bit smaller.
Bronzer is usually worked into your cheekbones and temples using a bigger brush and is meant to warm up the complexion and leave you looking slightly sunkissed. Bronzers are usually super affordable and can be found in high quality from the drugstore. my two favorites are the Lumene bronzer, and the NYC Sunny Bronzer. Both are under $6!
