Do you ever feel like your wallet is crying after browsing what’s new in makeup on Sephora’s website for the fourth time in a week?! I seriously cannot be the only one; but don’t worry y’all, the drugstore is full of amazing items for prices that certainly will not break the bank. Head on over to your local drugstore and start picking out a few goodies, I promise some of the things you find will be just as good as from Sephora.
To begin the look, I am as always starting with a fresh, moisturized face. I am then priming my face with the Nivea Men’s Shave Balm Primer ($6.49) to ensure that my face makeup stays in place all day.
I am then buffing the Garnier BB Cream ($9.49) in the shade ‘light medium’ into my skin with a damp beauty blender. This BB Cream acts as a tinted moisturizer and provides a light-medium coverage throughout the day. To then provide a bit more coverage, I am taking the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($6.99) to conceal my under-eyes and any blemishes. To keep my face from getting oily throughout the day I am setting it with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder ($4.99).
I am then taking the Physicians Formula Bronze Booster ($7.89) and defining my cheekbones, nose, and temples. After, I am taking the peach shade from the Elf Blush Quad ($5.99) and applying this to the apples of my cheeks. To highlight the bridge of my nose, cupid’s bow, brow bone, and tips of my cheekbones I am using a champagne single shadow called ‘French Vanilla’ from Covergirl ($2.97).
To prep my lids for eyeshadow I am taking the Maybelline Color Tattoo ($6.99) in the shade ‘Barely Branded’ and applying it all over my lids with my fingers. For the eyeshadow look I am using the Wet N Wild ‘Comfort Zone’ palette ($5.00) . It is by far my favorite eyeshadow palette from the drugstore and is full of super pigmented shadows. I am first taking the warm champagne shade on the left and packing this onto my lids using a flat shader brush.
I decided to go for a green look today, as I have never tried a look like this and I ended up loving it. So for the crease shade, I am taking the light green shadow on the right and applying this directly into my crease.
For my outer v I am taking the darker green shadow on the right side of the palette. This color perfectly defined my eyes and made them pop big time.
To fill and shape my brows I am using the NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder ($5.99) on an angled brush. I am then going in with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil ($4.49) in the shade ‘Milk’ to perfectly carve out my brows and define my brow bone.
I am then curling my lashes and applying several coats of the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($5.99)to my upper and lower lashes to lengthen and volumize my lashes. For the lips I am applying the NYX Lingerie Lipstick ($6.99) in the shade ‘Corset’.
Well that is it for this drugstore makeup tutorial. What do you all think of the pop of color added to this look?! I personally loved it and felt that it made my eyes pop big time! Let me know what you think of the look in the comments below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have for me. Wishing you the happiest Friday! With love, McKenz.
