Hey, everyone and welcome back to styledbymckenz. There’s no doubt in my mind that I love Fall. Everything about it brings me happiness, especially football. As a cheerleader for twelve years now, it’s safe to say that watching football, the atmosphere of football and the feeling of a football game are all things that I am very familiar with and enjoy on a weekly basis.
When my girl Bree, from BellaDesignsByBree, reached out and asked if she could send me some jewels to feature in a few game day outfit ideas, I obviously jumped at the offer. Especially because I’ve worn and loved her jewelry before + was itching at the idea for a few game day outfit ideas. The best part is, if you read till the end you can catch the details on how to get an additional 15% off your purchase when you order from BellaDesignsByBree, and I mean, who doesn’t love a good deal?!
I am fully aware that the attire choices can be very different in terms of being in a high school and college atmosphere. Therefore, I tried my hardest to incorporate outfits for both people and looks that could easily be switched up a bit if need be. I also focused on a few specific schools that are near me + had a color scheme that I could easily work with.
Keep in mind that Bree can make chokers of almost any color so if you want a choker in your specific school colors- just ask! You can contact her here.
My school colors are hunter green and gold so that’s where I took my first outfit inspiration from. Although I don’t sit in the stands because I’m cheering, I know the typical outfit for kids at my school. I paired this generic tee that is perfect for any game day with some high waisted shorts. For comfort and practicality reasons, I went with my black Converse and a cute little belt + a classic black pearl choker for a little something extra.

I know a lot of schools have the colors green and gold too so if you’re in college, a sorority, or simply like to look a bit nicer, this look could be for you. I’m wearing the cutest bell sleeved top with a classic denim skirt. For a little bit of a pop, I added a feathered gold choker, a longer necklace, and my gold Jacks! This look could easily be worn out, yet is still spirited in terms of colors.

Another color combo that I happened to have a lot of was orange and navy. I know plenty of colleges and high schools near me that have these school colors so I figured I’d throw this look in for the sake of that. I think that a piece like overalls are the perfect game day attire. They are fun, comfy, and practical in terms of having plenty of pockets to keep your belongings in. Oh, and did I mention that I’ve never met a person that doesn’t like overalls?! I’m throwing on an orange tee and some matching slip-ons for a pop of color and a navy necklace to bring even more spirit to the look.

The University of Maryland is an extremely popular school where I live so I figured I’d throw in a couple outfit ideas for them as well. For the more casual look, I’m opting for a simple school tee that everyone would have in their wardrobe + a fun red sneaker. It’s always a good idea to have a shoe in your school’s color for game day purposes. I added a black double wrap necklace to add a little something extra.

For the dressier look, I paired a raw hemmed tee with some classic ripped, girlfriend jeans. To incorporate a bit of red I popped on another double wrap necklace that had a bit of gold accenting and threw on my metallic platform sandals for a little-added height.

Lastly, I have the University of Delaware as an example of a super generic outfit idea. A simple school graphic tee and high waisted shorts are always a good idea. I paired these fun velvet booties and a matching choker to give this look the added pizzaz that I felt it was lacking. If that’s not your thing, totally opt for a pair of sneakers and call it a day!
