Over here in my neck of the woods, it has been the hottest Fall ever. I swear the temperature has hardly dropped below seventy degrees these past few weeks and although I greatly appreciate the extra time spent wearing sandals, lately I have been longing for the warm hues of Fall and my chunky knit sweaters that have been packed away for months now.
However, my desire for these cooler temperatures and for the Fall vibes to start kicking in has unfortunately not stopped Mother Nature from ‘blessing’ us with muggy temperatures and sticky air. Therefore, today I’m going to be sharing with you my latest Fall inspired makeup look + an outfit idea that has been ideal due to the temperatures here lately but would typically be worn in the Summer. Without further ado, let’s get on with the look.
For the makeup, I was envisioning something super warm with a matte lip. I pretty much just played around until I found something I liked.
For the face, I kept things pretty standard for me. I applied the Nivea Men’s Shave Balm as a primer with the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation following. To set it I used the classic Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and of course went in with my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and a banana powder to cover up those pesky under eye circles. I went a bit heavier on the contour to darken things up a bit and add a bit of depth and definition to my cheekbones. I then, of course, went in with my Elf Blush Quad and applied the peach shade to the apples of my cheeks.
For the eyes, I reached for anything orange-toned in my collection. After priming my lids and applying the Maybelline Color Tattoo I went in with the shade ‘Creme Brule’ from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and packed this onto my lid. I blended some of the shade ‘Salted Carmel’ into my crease and added a bit of ‘Milk Chocolate’ to fully define my crease. I then went in with the shade ‘Half Baked’ from my Naked 2 Palette and applied this to my inner corner for a bright pop. I intended on using more gold throughout the look but I was really loving where it was going so I opted out of this idea in the end. Lastly, I applied the shade ‘Garnet’ from the Lorac Pro Palette to my outer v with a dense crease brush. This gave extra definition to the eyes and added the most beautiful pigment.
I then finished up with the last few final touches; penciling in my brows and applying a few coats of my favorite mascara. I then went in with the Wet N Wild Highlighter in the shade ‘Precious Petals’ and applied this anywhere I could lol. My brow bone, Cupid’s bow, the tip of my nose, the high points of my cheeks and the inner corners all received a little bit of this fabulous product. And lastly, I finished off with my favorite NYX Lingerie Lipstick which I cannot remember the name of to save my life.
For my outfit, I was feeling festive and wanted to wear this burnt orange shirt. It looked perfect with my makeup and made my blue eyes pop even more! Because it was so hot, shorts were a must so to keep comfy I popped on these simple black flowy shorts. I wore my ‘McKenz’ necklace and feathered choker, both from BellaDesignsByBree. Well, that’s all for this wannabe fall outfit + makeup! How’s the weather where you live?! Be sure to let me know in the comments below; I hope I’m not the only one patiently waiting for a few cooler temperatures. Thank you so much for reading. Hope you have the best day! With love, McKenz.
