In September I said it was the busiest month of my life so far and then I said it again in October and here I am saying it again in the month of November but for real for real this time. With my cheer squad making it much farther than expected, football in its most exciting time of the year, and just plain life itself, I feel as though time is flashing before my eyes.
However, despite the chaos and everything in between I have cherished this month like none other! I am so excited to share my favorites with you today; let’s get into it before I ramble too much more before we truly get started.
As far as fashion goes, I’ve been keeping things fairly simple with a bold shoe for the most part. I’ve been on a major shoe kick if you haven’t been able to tell from my recent hauls. As for my favorites though- I feel like I’ve been wearing my black over the knee boots from DSW and my blue velvet booties like crazy lately. Practically every blog shoot and every weekend I’ve been pulling them out of my closet, or so it seems. I’ve also adored my green floppy hat that you probably recognize from several posts along the road if you’ve visited my blog before. And clearly from the looks of the outfits I’ve chosen- I’ve been really into skirts as well. Anyway, I’m so excited for Christmas to get some new clothing pieces to style because in the mean time I’ll been wearing all the wardrobe essentials to keep things basic and easy.
It was another month of slow makeup looks… however, I will say that I have been a bit bolder with my highlight and lipstick choices. You all know I am huge Buxom lip fan and I have been wearing the shade ‘Brooklynn’ like crazy lately. It is seriously the best. Along with that I’ve been wearing some darker browns and nudes to dress up a boring everyday makeup routine.
This month my Bible reading has truly been all over the place. I haven’t been able to find a book that I truly understand and yearn to read; therefore, I’ve been sticking to some scattered readings here and there. Jeremiah 30 was definitely one of my favorites this month. The message about understanding the Lord’s doings later down the line has really been applicable to my day-to-day life these last few weeks. If you have any book recommendations from the Bible be sure to leave them below! I would love some ideas as to what to read next.
I typically update y’all on what I’ve been reading and watching throughout the month as well and honestly, November was similar to October. I have not had time to read any books but am slowly picking back up on reading some of my favorite bloggers when I have a few spare minutes. As far as TV goes; despite cheer practice ending and having a bit more free time in the evenings I have been pushing aside the idea of starting a TV show because I know once I start I’ll get hooked and start to become even more unproductive. So basically I’ve been watching Riverdale each week on actual TV and that’s about it. However, I am sincerely considering starting either Shameless or Friends, I just cannot seem to decide which to start.
Although again this month I did not necessarily stick to my M, W, F posting schedule that I set, I did blog at least three times a week every week this month which makes me happy. I may have lacked views and such due to not engaging as much as I was in the Summer time but I finally was able to get my posting schedule back on track for the most part which makes me so happy to write. I need that sort of stability in my life; it sounds silly but is so true. I have mentioned it here and there because I haven’t been able to decide for certain but I have truly considered blogging everyday of December like I did back in August. It was hard but it made me proud and it kept me on my toes. I miss working like that and with the holiday season brings so much exciting content that this month I am going to strive + try my very hardest to do this one more time. Don’t get me wrong- I will probably miss a few days here and there (most likely Tuesdays since those are always my least favorite day of the week) but I really want to accomplish something I’m really proud of this month. On top of that I want to try to up my followers/readership in all social media platforms this month in order to try to reach the goals I set back in January to end 2017 with a bang.
Some other highlights from this month were winning Regionals, placing at States and football winning their forty-second straight win along with some amazing blog collaborations, Thanksgiving with the family, and of course Black Friday shopping. What have you been up to this month?! Be sure to let me know in the comments below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have for me. Sending you my love + hope your December is perfect. With love, McKenz
