I’m sure everyone around here knows by now that I am obsessed with Pinterest. It is my go to source when I’m in need of a little outfit inspiration or am just feeling like getting creative. Each month I like to recreate a few outfits I’ve recently pinned with clothes in my own closet to get a little innovative with my wardrobe.
Below, I’m sharing three outfits I’ve recreated this month from my Pinterest boards; I hope you enjoy. Feel free to go ahead and pin these images if you’d like or copy this idea and share your own recreations on your blog! I’d love to see what you come up with.
I was instantly drawn to this look as it features a few of my favorite things; a classic pair of distressed skinny jeans, a simple bootie, and my favorite- a peplum top! Recreating this look was easy as I had all of these things in my wardrobe already. Together my light grey cardigan and booties worked perfectly and this proved to be the best way to transition one of my favorite summer tanks into the colder months.
Outfit Details- tank: Target, cardigan: Old Navy, jeans: Gap, booties: Target, necklace: Nordstrom, watch: Kohls
I chose to recreate this look due to the fact that I hadn’t yet pulled out my riding boots this season. They are such a necessity in every girl’s wardrobe and yet I feel like I hardly ever reach for them nowadays due to always wearing booties; because of this, I knew I wanted to find a way to style them for this outfit. I paired a chunky white sweater with some classic leg warmers and a huge blanket scarf to tie the look together. I am so pleased with this look and am hoping that it will inspire me to start showing these boots a little more love.
Outfit Details- sweater: Forever 21, scarf: Jewelry Bean, jeans: Hollister, leg warmers: Kohls, boots: Target
Styling navy and black together is something I don’t do often, simply because at a younger age the idea of navy and black never being styled together was drilled into my brain- probably because a navy Gap hoodie and black yoga pants were so not in style during 2008. Anyway, for this look I wanted to step out of my comfort zone a bit and start mixing the two colors. I’m wearing a simple, striped top with my blue velvet booties for a fun pop! Rather than wearing a leather jacket, I threw on a utility as it is a bit more my style + is something I feel rather comfortable in.
Outfit Details- top: Old Navy, jacket: Old Navy, jeans: Old Navy, booties: Old Navy (lol NOT sponsored by Old Navy, I swear! Just a huge lover of their awesome deals and clothing.) , necklace: Nordstrom, watch: Kohls
