The Perfect Valentine’s Day Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone and welcome back to styledbymckenz. On Monday I shared a handful of Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas and on Wednesday I shared a Gift Guide for the Gals. I decided today to continue on with my Valentines Day series and share with you the perfect makeup look with a video tutorial! I hope you all enjoy this sweet look.

To start off I’m applying my typical face of makeup- starting with the Lorac Porefection Primer to ensure my makeup stays on all day. Afterward, I’m going in with a new Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in the shade 220. To cover up any imperfections that may be showing through and my under eye circles, I’m applying the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade Sand. I am then setting my under eyes with the banana powder from the Anastasia Contour Kit. Because I’m out of my typical Rimmel Stay Matte Powder,  I’m going in with the face powder from the Anastasia Contour Kit as well.

To contour, I’m going light for a bit of subtle definition from the Lumene Bronzer. I’m applying this to the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, and temples! Afterward, I’m going in with one of my favorite blushes, Wet N Wild’s Pearlescent Pink and then highlighting my brow bone, inner corner, cupid’s bow, and tips of my cheeks with the Wet N Wild Highlighter in the shade Precious Petals.

I’m going in with my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette today as it’s the perfect palette for Valentines Day! I’m beginning the eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion and then applying the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade Barely Branded right on top. For the lid I’m packing on the shade Burnout and then blending the two mauve mattes, Nooner and Limit, into my crease. On a dense crease brush, I’m applying a sparkly brown, Liar, to add a bit of definition and to darken things up.

To finish off the eyes I’m going in with a simple brown brow pencil to fill in the sparse areas before curling my lashes and applying a few coats of the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.

To finish off my look I’m obviously going in with my all-time favorite light pink gloss from Buxom in the shade White Russian.

and there’s the finished look- natural and subtle.
