In case you forgot, I have a lot of shoes. Like a lot. I’ve found some incredible deals over the years and have fallen in love with many pairs. I obviously like and wear some pairs more than others but at the end of the day; I generally try my best to show them all some love!
Today I’m sharing with you my top five shoes you need for this time of year. This awkward time of year leaves me with fifty-degree temperatures one day and a snow day the next. Here’s what you need to tackle those mid-winter blues!
Over the knee boots are some of my favorite shoes for most of the year but especially around this time! They can easily be worn on a chillier day with a chunky sweater and vest or on those random warmer days with a skirt or dress.
Outfit Details- dress: Eddie Bauer, boots: Target, purse: Old Navy
Another must-have for me are a pair of simple black mules. They are perfect and can easily be worn with a plain outfit. Not to mention thy are so comfy; especially for a flat! I adore these for those random warmer days that Maryland has blessing us with lately.
Outfit Details- turtleneck: Hollister, vest: Old Navy, jeans: Hollister, mules: Target
Another essential for me is obviously a pair of booties. I have my fair share- between the statement, simple, textured, heeled, or flat- you name it! However, my most worn these last few weeks have definitely been these black block heeled booties. They are the perfect height to give you a bit of a lift while not being too high that they are uncomfortable.
Outfit Details- top: Loft, scarf: Old Navy, jeans: Old Navy, socks: Kohl’s, booties: Old Navy, watch: DKNY
Outfit Details- top: Banana Republic, leggings: TJ Maxx/90 Degree By Reflex, watch: DKNY, sneakers: New Balance
I’m always in need of a weather resistant shoe; especially when those rainy, snowy, icy days come along. I love my Hunter boots but some days I’m simply in the mood for a shorter shoe that doesn’t require as much commitment. These black Chelsea boots from Michael Kors are the best as they are practical yet don’t give that clunky winter weather shoe vibe that so many shoes do!
Outfit Details- sweater: Forever 21, top: Old Navy, jeans: Hollister, socks: Kohl’s, hat: TJ Maxx, booties: Michael Kors
Keep in mind that these are all the perfect shoes fit for where I live. Therefore, these may or may not be styles that you can wear throughout this time of year. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed and were to at least get some outfit inspiration today!
