Spring Break is only a few days away and I could not be more excited! The fam and I are heading down to the Carolinas for a few days (for a few of my college visits!) and then we’ll be heading back home while stopping along the way for a couple of my sister, Madison’s college visits! I’m sure we’ll all be sick of each other and the car after just a few hours, but nonetheless, I’m super excited to be traveling, even if it’s only for a few days.
Anyway, today I’m sharing all of my favorite/most useful packing tips so hopefully, you gather some food for thought today. I’m not the most skilled or organized packer in the world, by any means but thanks to one of my favorite brands, Travelon, who is generously sponsoring today’s post, they are making it a whole lot easier! Before I spoil all the fun, let’s hop right in.
I’m not the best about keeping my electronic accessories nice and neat but thanks to Travelon’s Tech Accessory Organizer I’ve fixed that bad habit in no time. This made it super easy to wrap up all of my cords, chargers, and earbuds + it fit my camera battery which is an essential when road tripping! I totally recommend finding something like this to throw into your bag; it will truly make your life so much easier.
Once I started bringing my Mac along on my adventures, my mom insisted that I get a case for it. I purchased this soft marble sleeve off of Amazon and love it! It’s a bit flimsy but because I already have a hard skin on my computer and I’m carrying it in a backpack, it works out totally fine. I recommend picking up a case asap if you plan on bringing your computer with you!
I’m such an advocate of traveling with a good backpack. There’s just something about having everything organized and in one space that makes my travel anxiety calm down a bit, lol. I have the Courier Slim Backpack from Travelon and the Anti-Theft features, several pockets, and lots of space make it the perfect backpack for traveling. Does anyone else prefer traveling with a backpack?! I always need a book, a journal, and space for a laptop- a tote just won’t cut it for that!
Don’t get me wrong though, I need a purse with me when traveling too… luckily my Long Champ can easily fold up and be stored in one of these pockets!
As much as I love traveling, I hate the part of the vacation when you feel so uncomfortable because your stuff is everywhere, your suitcase is a mess, and your mascara is in a separate toiletry bag from your chapstick. It turns out, the Flat Out Hanging Toiletry Kit is all I needed in my life to relieve me of this simple pet peeve.
This organizer is so spacious and yet it takes up less space in my suitcase then if I were to have a few mini toiletry bags. I opted for all of my shower products in the lower two compartments and my makeup + brushes in the top two! This allows for all of my beauty care to be in the same spot. The best part is this bag can hang so it can easily be transported from one space to another and then zips up so it can easily be packed away.
I know I will be using this for more than just my travels- it is perfect for cheer competitions, sleepovers, etc!
Jewelry is one of those things I tend to pack last-minute because I’m always wearing some the day before or am not positive what I want to bring. This Tailored Jewelry Case is the perfect way to organize your bracelets, keep your necklaces from getting tangled, and avoid losing an earring or ring!
I used this for my school’s fashion show as well and found it so handy! It fits right into my backpack making it perfect for that last-minute item you almost forgot to pack + my watch is way to precious to keep in my suitcase- I would be devastated if it got lost!
As far as packing the suitcase goes, if you’re looking for an easy way to maximize your wardrobe while still giving yourself options- I recommend going for a capsule wardrobe such as this one! They are super fun and surprisingly versatile. Despite how annoying it can be at times, I’d also recommend rolling your clothes to save space- it works wonders!
My last tip would simply be to experiment with what works best for you and your style. I’ve learned that less is more for me when it comes to traveling and Travel On has allowed me to keep my belongings organized and safe while maximizing my space!
I’m so aware of how hard it can be to stay organized when traveling- therefore if you have any questions be sure to leave them below! Also, if there are any products from Travelon that you are unsure about or have additional questions on, I would be happy to answer them so leave those below too. Wishing you all safe travels as you embark on those Spring Break adventures! With love, McKenz
