My grandma is a wizard when it comes to the sewing machine. When shopping at Joann’s a few weeks ago with my mom, we stumbled across the most beautiful, seersucker and lace fabric. With my grandma on her way to Maryland in just a few days, we decided we just had to have it so she could sew it into something spectacular. And just that she did… I expressed to her that I wanted a matching two-piece set. She reluctantly agreed and made a strapless tank to match the midi skirt.
The best part about this handmade beauty is that it can be worn so many different ways. Today I’m sharing how I’ve styled this two-piece set into five different outfits that are all perfect for the summer time.
The first way I’m styling these pieces is as I had attended. The matching set looks adorable together and the look of the layered lace is so so cute. I threw on a pair of white Jack Rogers and some simple gold accessories to tie the look together.
Because I’m on the shorter side, the midi skirt fits perfectly as a strapless dress. Because it just fits as a shift style there is so much you can do with it! Add a pair of heels to dress it up for a fancy night out or throw on a pair of flip-flops and you are good to go for a stroll on the beach.
This strapless top was the perfect length an fit me as a skirt beautifully! I was so excited about this as I am such a fan of skirts with a simple tank for the summer. I threw on a white crop top and some white Jacks to complete this look. How awesome is it that I could wear this dress as a top and skirt?!
This strapless top looks incredible when paired with a classic pair of dark wash jeans. For dinner or grad party, this look is so cute and, not to mention, super easy! Slip on a pair of sandals and you’re good to go for the night!
My last way of styling these pieces… this midi skirt is such a fun and trendy length. When paired with the right top and shoes you can make this skirt fit for any occasion! I cannot wait to wear this skirt to church this summer; it’s seriously the perfect, modest length.
Overall, I am so pleased with this two-piece set and am so amazed at my grandmother’s talents! I know that these pieces will get lots of loving this summer season and am excited to share more looks with them soon.
Which style is your favorite?! I’d love to hear below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have for me. Thanks so much for stopping by! With love, McKenz
