Last month, my recreations came out a little late and this month they’re coming to you a bit earlier than normal… I just can’t seem to find that happy medium, lol.
If you’re new around here, allow me to explain. I am obsessed with Pinterest. It is my go-to source when I’m in need of a little outfit inspiration or am just feeling like getting creative. Each month I like to recreate a few outfits I’ve recently pinned with clothes in my own closet to get a little innovative with my wardrobe. Below I’m recreating three of my favorite pins from the month of July!
I cannot get enough of this look and because I have yet to style my overall dress here on the blog, I knew I needed to. Rather than wearing a fitted tee, I went with this statement sleeved top that my grandma sewed me a few weeks back. It looked adorable! If I were to choose a shoe I would most likely reach for a platform.
Outfit Details- top: Grandma, dress: Gap Outlet, scrunchie: Forever 21, necklace: The Silver Heron
I always love the flat lays I see on Pinterest but rarely ever recreate them. I decided to go ahead and test one out today because I’m always reaching for basics in the summer. A cute tee and high-waisted shorts are a must-have for sure. Rather than going for my typical open-toed sandal, I went a little out of my comfort zone and threw on these flat espadrilles I found in my momma’s closet.
Outfit Details- tee: Gap, shorts: TJ Maxx, shoes: TJ Maxx, necklace: The Silver Heron, bracelets: Alex and Ani, Charming Charlies
I fell in love with this look the second I saw it, probably because I am such a sucker for gingham this season. I didn’t have a pair of pants so I switched things up and styled the shorts from yesterday’s haul. I went with a square neck tank from Old Navy and of course my black mules which were dying to make their appearance after being hidden away in my closet for months now. Rather than accessorizing with a hat I went for chunky gold earrings.
Side note for this look for the sole reason of my hair. Like, can we take a moment for how voluminous it looks in these last few pictures? If I had this kind of hair day every day, I would be invincible- OMG.
Outfit Details- tank: Old Navy, shorts: Zaful, shoes: Target, necklace: The Silver Heron, cuff: Sugarfix, earrings: Walmart
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post! I’d love to know which recreation was your favorite in the comments below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have for me. Mine was by far the last one! I’ll talk to you all tomorrow.
With love, McKenz
