Shopping for affordable swimwear online––it’s tricky to get right. Today, I’m sharing ten different swimsuits with you of all different kinds from five different retailers: Zaful, SheIn, Forever 21, Amazon, and Target. Each suit cost me less than $20; I’m rating them based on quality, material, fit, and price followed by an overall thumbs up or thumbs down.
I have worked so hard on today’s post so I would appreciate you sharing it or leaving it some love. As always, feel free to shop through these links and ask me any questions you may have at the end.
be sure to give this video a watch; I’m trying on every swimsuit here!
ordered size Small, White, from Zaful
I completely forgot that this bathing suit was in my cart so when it arrived I was more than excited. It fits beautifully. The top does not have adjustable straps but luckily fit me perfectly. The bottoms are super high-waisted which looks so flattering on my body shape. The bottoms aren’t full coverage but they aren’t too cheeky either. The material on this one is awesome; definitely one of the better quality ones. A big thumbs up on this one!
ordered size Medium, Army Green, from Zaful
Super bummed about this bikini. I read the reviews on it and decided to size up, as most people suggested, and wish I hadn’t. The top was too loose and the bottoms too baggy. However, I did leave a review for this on Zaful’s website and their customer service got back to me within an hour apologizing for the sizing issue and sent me my correct size free of cost! The color of this one is super flattering and it’s such a fun suit. Not the best quality but for being $8 I cannot complain! Because this one didn’t fit, I’m giving it a thumbs down. However, when the correct size comes I will be sure to update you!
ordered size Small, Black, from Zaful
Every girl needs a black bikini. This one is super nice quality. No adjustable straps caused this one to be a little loose on me but the self-tying front allows you to choose how tight it is around your chest which is awesome. The bottoms aren’t super high-waisted but they aren’t a low-rise either, leaving them at a surprisingly flattering spot on the hips. I really like this swimsuit and think that it’s a great option, especially if you like to mix and match swimsuits.
ordered size Small, Mustard, from Zaful
This one is by far one of my favorites because I am such a yellow girl. These bottoms reach my belly button which is typically out of my comfort zone but these are just so cute that I can’t help but feel confident in them! The top is again a self-tying one which allows you to choose how tight it is around the chest. This one is a bit higher cut than the black one but I still love it. Super impressed with this one; a thumbs up from me!
ordered size Medium, Pine Green, from Zaful
Read the reviews on this one and decided to size up and I’m so glad I did. The bottoms fit super nice and can be worn on the hips or low-waisted. The top is very flattering and the idea of ‘adjustable straps’ are the self-tying bows you make when putting it on + it clasps in the back. I love this suit and the quality is super good! A thumbs up from me.
ordered size Small, Black, from SheIn
This bikini is super out there for me but my mom loved it and the picture was too cute to resist. The high neck top is perfect for those days when you want to give your chest a break from the sun and the bottoms cut super nicely. This bathing suit is definitely a cheater material and not as well made as some of the others but for $10 I don’t think it’s terrible. My only complaint on this one is the scallops around the neckline don’t completely lie flat but other than that it’s super cute and a thumbs up!
ordered size Small, Black, from Forever 21
Although some of the other ones were ‘good quality’ in my eyes, the Forever 21 bathing suit is a different kind of good quality. I love this suit and think it is super flattering on. The top has no pads which I was skeptical about when buying but realized (after swimming in it) isn’t a problem. The bottoms can be worn low waisted or up on the hips, aka the ‘trendy’ way. I adore this one and the sports bra cut of it makes it perfectly secure when moving around. Two thumbs up!
ordered size Small, Black, from Amazon
When I talked about this one in the YouTube video I gave it a thumbs down because this bikini is definitely a cheaper material and the bottoms are too tiny to wear outside my own backyard. However, I talked about how practical this top could be when by the lake, participating in water activities, and being super active. After my trip to Wisconsin, I’m going to change my thumbs down to a thumbs up because this top was an awesome one to have. I took the pads out which seemed to help the ‘cheap’ material and just enjoyed having a top that wouldn’t fall off or cause me any problems. Paired with different bottoms I think this one could be worthwhile…
ordered size Small, Pink, from Amazon
This bikini is so stinking cute on. I love the color, though it doesn’t look the same in person as it did in the picture. The material is a little funky, leading you to believe it was a more affordable bikini but besides that, this one is a keeper for sure. It fit well aside from a teeny bit of side boob and the bottoms are full coverage. The reason I would recommend this one for sure is that there is a Prime option meaning you can get it within two days which is something that the other bikinis don’t necessarily have to offer.
ordered size Small, Black, from Target
Decided to throw in a one piece too. This one is sort of a cheat because I found it at my local Target for $20 on clearance… but I figured I would throw it in. It’s without a doubt the best quality/ best-made bathing suit in the post which was to be expected. The back on this one is super flattering and I think everyone should have a good one piece to wear for those, well, one piece occasions I suppose! This one probably isn’t the best for diving into waves but either way, you’ll look adorable! Thumbs up for this one!
And just like that, we’re through talking about the ten different swimsuits. I really hope this post gives you some insight as to the different styles and retailers that are super popular these days.
Be sure to watch the YouTube video if you want to see how each swimsuit fits me! I know it’s lengthy but I wanted to talk about each one and really give an in-depth review of the quality, fit, material, price, etc.
