My Current Summer Uniform

There’s nothing better than this sweet, summer combo. Today I’m sharing what I like to call my ‘summer uniform‘. A denim skirt + simple tee is, without a doubt, one of the simplest pairings that never fails.

On days when I don’t know what to wear, it’s typical for me to reach for this simple black top. I’ve had the fitted tee for years… It looks super cute tucked into things + I can wear a normal bra with it which is hard to come by for a lot of my strappy summer tanks. My first instinct is to reach for a skirt. Shorts are fun and all but nothing beats a skirt that your legs can breathe in; not to mention denim minis are so in style.

If I’m being honest with you, the summer months are not my favorite when it comes to hair care. My thin hair tends to get dried out pretty easily from all the sun exposure leaving me even less prone to use heat on it. Most days I’ll throw some Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Spray into it and throw it up. It’s rare I keep my hair this way when shooting looks for the blog but because hair accessories like scarves are so trendy right now, I figured why not embrace my typical hairdo?!

Of course, for shoes, I wanted to spice things up a bit and add a little yellow into the mix. These Target platforms have been on repeat lately as they pair so nicely with all my favorite summer outfits.
