My Current Favorite Accessory

Earrings and I go way back. One of my birthday presents as a nine-year-old was the pleasure of getting my ears pierced. I was so excited because all of my friends had had their ears pierced for what felt like decades at the time. Neon spike balls, small animals, and fun peace signs were what all the girls were wearing and I cannot even explain the excitement I remember feeling when I got to pick out my first pair at Claire’s.

However, in middle school, my ears became constantly infected. No matter what type of earring I wore I was guaranteed a terrible reaction. My ears needed a desperate break so reluctantly I agreed to let my beloved holes close.

And now here we are. I am seventeen years old and today’s post is all about my love for statement earrings that are clip-ons. I have yet to get my ears repierced as my cheering schedule just doesn’t allow for it and honestly, I don’t want to go through the same infection process again.

After feeling so left out as all my blog friends were wearing cute, trendy jewelry I decided to purchase a pack of 32 clip-on earring hooks from Michael’s and quickly realized that converting statement earrings into clip-ons was not only affordable but easy.

Within the last month, I’ve purchased nine pairs of statement earrings from Walmart. Surprisingly, they have super cute jewelry and each pair of earrings is $3.99! I cannot even express how awesome of a deal this is. I have had no problems with the metal on these which makes me super happy.

I cannot recommend Walmart earrings enough! They are lightweight, affordable, and so trendy. Unfortunately, they do not sell their earrings online so I wasn’t able to link any for you today; I would most definitely recommend running to your nearest Walmart to check out what they have. I have quickly fallen in love with this simple accessory – they make a world of a difference when styling an outfit!
