I know tons of bloggers who have started sharing their favorite sweaters and scarves for the fall time now that Pumpkin Spice Lattes have made their annual appearance at Starbucks. However, the ninety-five-degree heat we’ve been having is leaving me fully aware that, realistically, nobody is dressing like that yet. Therefore, today I’m sharing with you how to follow fall trends while still dressing comfortably for the gross, sticky weather that is still the reality for must of us.
Embroidery is going to be huge once again this fall. However, on a skirt like this one, you’re not forced to wait until chilly temps roll around. Pair it with a classic black tee and pop on a cute pair of block heels. This outfit allows you to not feel constricted because of the weather but offers some ‘transitioning to fall’ vibes due to the color, and style of the skirt.
paired with a black turtleneck and some matching over the knee boots. Playing with proportions here will accentuate the legs and leave you with the cutest combination for the cooler temperatures.

Mustard is the color of the fall yet again. And for obvious reasons; I mean just look at how cute it is! I’m playing with embroidery again on this adorable yellow number. I picked a pair of pink velvet block heels that accented one of the flowers and my tasseled earrings. A mustard dress is a must as you can easily dress it up or down for any occasion.
with a pair of open-toed booties and a cardigan. A different pair of shoes can easily transform this look and popping on a cozy knit would solve the problem of too much exposed skin super quickly.

Anything that instantly reminds you of Cher from Clueless is definitely trending right now. Rather than going for a plaid blazer and matching tweed skirt, go for a cute two-piece like this one. The print of it still screams fall, but the tank and skirt are perfectly suitable for the unbearable heat we’ve been having lately.
with black heeled booties and frilly socks. This skirt is definitely one that needs some height and frilly socks peeking out over top would be the perfect addition to this school girl inspired look. Throw on a matching black cardigan and you’re good to go.

Well, did you find this post at all helpful?! I sure hope so! Don’t worry I’ll start posting my fall favorites soon for all those who have asked but I wanted to feature a few options that were more realistic for the current weather situation.
Which look was your favorite? Be sure to let me know below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have. Hope you’re having an awesome Wednesday.
