This month’s Pinterest outfit recreations are definitely coming at ya a little later than usual but I figured better late than never, am I right?! I decided I’m going to start choosing a ‘theme’ for these posts. In months past I’ve always selected three random pins from my feed but this month I decided I wanted to focus on one ‘trend’ in particular.
With New York Fashion Week wrapping up just a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been majorly inspired by all of the trends that flooded the streets. Therefore, today I’m reaching for unconventional looks that I wouldn’t necessarily wear on an everyday basis but more of a street style vibe instead.
Oh, and I’ve been loving all of Tezza’s Instagram posts recently and they’ve really motivated me to get creative in my posing and switch up my usual photography style with the sissy. I figured this was the post to test it out in – I’m not 100% confident but I figured I’d share the journey with you either way! This officially feels like the longest intro ever… let’s get on into it.
I’ve been pinning up a storm when it comes to cool outerwear. These were all over the streets of New York Fashion Week and with a handful in my own closet, I felt this was the perfect outfit to recreate. I’m wearing my faux fur coat from SheIn with a cute blush pink tee underneath. Rather than wearing skinny jeans, I went with some flares as they are definitely more my style as of lately.
I popped on some metallic booties for a fun pop and some height. Of course, neon is huge right now so this bag felt like a sassy touch to an already fabulous combination.
This pose just had to be recreated. I love the concept of rotating photos and think that more editorial photos like this one are so fun! Madison and I definitely had fun recreating this photo.

This outfit was inspired by velvet and mom jeans – two trends that I’ve always loved and have been seeing paired together recently. I decided to smush both of these looks together to create my own. This pink velvet coat is one of my favorites – definitely my go-to when wanting something unexpected. I paired it with a sparkly velvet tee tucked into these vintage mom jeans from Gap. I haven’t reached for these pants in forever which reminded me of why I started my Pinterest outfit recreations series in the first place!
Some glitter had to be incorporated into this look so I threw on some statement earrings and these fun heels. Nothing exccentuates the legs quite like a block heel. I’m convinced I’ll love this jeans + heels combo forever.
Gotta #benditliketezza. If you haven’t seen this photo trend going around Instagram than you must be living under a rock. This one took a while but was so fun. Definitely a cool way to show off your kicks!

The eighties are calling because neon is back baby!!! Part of this trend reminds me of my Justice lace tank top days but another part reminds me of really fabulous models strutting in LA so I’m testing the trend out myself. I styled this sweater in my Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas with over the knee boots but love it paired with these sneakers.
Chunky sneakers are on the rise and I think this sock pair is a fun in between style. They aren’t totally ‘dad’ style but the bright colors and baby platform are just enough. Sneakers and a sweater dress is definitely something we saw on the streets and was super fun to wear for this blog post!
Haha this sort of was an epic fail but part of me really likes it still. Definitely a different pose but nonetheless shows off your footwear perfectly! Almost forgot to mention that the neon Oliver Bilou bag obviously had to be paired with this look for the perfect accessory.
Outfit Details – sweater dress: SheIn, sneakers: Target, bag: Oliver Bilou, scrunchie: Nordstrom Rack
Honestly, y’all. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this creative. I know these outfits definitely aren’t every day wearable + everyone’s style but it felt so fun to recreate some of the styles I’ve been pinning from New York Fashion Week and test out some of the poses I’m loving. I forget sometimes that I can be innovative too!
What do you think next month’s ‘theme’ should be? I’d love your input below along with any other questions, comments, or requests you may have. Hope you’re having an awesome day!
With love, McKenz
