The days of me reaching for shorts and a tee shirt in the summer are few and far between. There’s nothing wrong with the combination but it’s expected for the summertime— and I prefer to spice things up a bit. Today I’m sharing four ways to avoid the boring combination this summer.
All of the clothing in today’s post is from one of my favorite retailers, SheIn, meaning everything is super trendy and affordable. Keep reading to check out the outfits + to learn how to score 15% off your purchase!
I’ve never met a two piece set I didn’t like. I was instantly drawn to this two-piece set because of its color. I’m never really a red girl but something about this really spoke to me; not to mention, I love the pleats. The top of this is super stretchy and is such a cute length. The skirt is a midi style and has a regular zipper waistband that fit me surprisingly well. Everything about this look makes me want to dance like the red dress emoji girl and eat chips and salsa!
If you’re looking for an outfit all in one, choose a set. Not only can the pieces be worn together, but you can pair them separately to maximize your styling options. I added a fun pair of gold heels, tassel earrings, and a cuff to complete my look.

A jumpsuit is as close as it gets to summertime sweatpants if you ask me. The right jumpsuit will be just as comfortable as your loungewear but you’ll be looking your best! I’m obsessed with this rust-colored jumpsuit from SheIn. It comes in six different colors and is $17 after using my code. If you’re on the taller side, this is going to fit you like an absolute glove. Oh, and the straps self-tie which is the perfect touch if you’re bustier or have a smaller chest.
You can dress this jumpsuit up or down. I’m going a little more casual here with some simple gold sandals and a few of my favorite pieces of gold jewelry. Not only would this outfit be suitable for work but it could easily transition into dinner, a date, or graduation party!

Rompers are a must have, especially if you’re a teenager. Oh, and so is the color yellow (at least in my book!). I tend to reach for a romper when I want to feel as cute as I would when wearing a dress but know that I’ll be doing a lot of moving that day. You don’t have to worry about flashing anyone your booty when wearing a romper!
I love the tie front detail on this one! Paired with matching block heels and a statement earring you’ve got the perfect completed outfit. This romper is on the sheer side, so if you’re not willing to wear nude undergarments than skip this one and choose one of SheIn’s other adorable options.

This dress makes me want to dance, oh my goshhhh! I’m obsessed with this strapless ruffled dress and so were you all when I teased it on my Instagram stories last week. This cutie ties in the back which is the perfect detail. Leave that collarbone exposed so you can show off some fun accessories. I’m wearing my star necklace and matching earrings to give this look a little extra sass.
You could do a lot with this look but the dress is definitely on the fancier side so I added glitter block heels to keep it young and fun. I could totally see this dress being worn for a sorority date night, out on the weekends in college, or for dinner while on vacation! Grab this while it’s still in stock.
