I’m back from my quick little trip to the Outer Banks! Not only was it relaxing but I managed to shoot fifteen swimsuits while I was away which means I’ve got lots of summer swim content coming your way over the next few days. Today I’m kicking things off with six affordable swimsuits from AMI Clubwear. I collaborated with them back in June and you all seemed to love the suits I shared so I figured why not review a few more?
Last week I shared a haul on YouTube where I reviewed and tried on all of these suits. Watch it if you’re interested in grabbing more details on these pieces. Don’t forget to subscribe!
Starting off with the one piece! I chose this pink suit with flamingos on it knowing that it would look adorable next to the pink flamingo float that my sister and I have. The cut of this swimsuit is rather simple. It’s got a scoop back and slightly high cut legs. It’s the perfect suit to be active in the water in as it doesn’t show too much skin and fit like a glove. I’m wearing a size small here.
This suit is too cute! I went for this high waisted style because it isn’t high cut on the legs which I know is a must for some people. The high cut that exposes your waistline often leads to a cheekier bottom. This suit is the opposite, covering those hips and the but entirely. However, the top is just a small tube of fabric that ties in the back. It’s got no padding and I found the width of it to be on the smaller side causing a bit of underboob. Nothing major but figured I’d mention it. If you’re in between sizes, go up in the one!
This was easily my favorite of the bunch because it is too darn cute. Not to mention flattering as all get out. This neoprene style is such nice quality and the little squares of fabric are held together by different colors of elastic and crochet detailing. This looks super tiny when it comes but stretches out tremendously once you put it on, sucking you in and making your girls look extra good. My only note on this suit is that you must apply sunscreen. And a lot of it. Not just to your whole body but underneath the suit. The crochet creates holes along your bikini lines which typically don’t see the sun very often. I got sun right through this suit and got borderline burnt in those areas.
This was another favorite because neon is inevitably going to make you look and feel your best. So many people stopped to tell me I looked tan in this suit, lol. The top is a classic razor back cut which is super easy to move in. I love this kind of style for swimming. The bottoms are high cut exposing the hips and the bottoms are definitely cheeking. However, it’s a super flattering suit. I have all good things to say about this one except for the fact that sand went right through it!
This suit screams retro to me and gosh is it good! It’s a ribbed material lined with red and navy. The tube top is held up by self-tying straps and the bottoms are high waisted. They’ve got a high cut exposing the hips but aren’t super cheeky. The padding on this one is a little funky but they are removable which is a plus. The bottoms on this were the slightest bit loose on me, so if you have a tiny waist try sizing down. As soon as I walked out in this a woman stopped and asked me where it was from! Definitely a photogenic bathing suit.
This is without a doubt the most high wasited bikini I’ve ever tried on. The top is a tube-style that clasps in the back. The straps are removable which is always a plus but I chose to leave them on. The bottoms are extremely high-cut exposing your entire waist line/hip. However, this detail elongates your legs like crazy! The snakeskin print is also super fun as animal print is so trendy at the moment.
If you’re interested in purchasing any of the swimsuits I reviewed today, be sure to click any of the images below. There are tons of other adorable styles on their site if the six I shared today weren’t totally your style! Happy swimsuit shopping.
Overall, my second experience with AMI Clubwear was just as good, if not better than my first time. I am so pleased with all of these suits and got so many compliments from strangers as I wore these on my latest beach trip. If you’re interested in seeing my thoughts on four more of their suits, be sure to click here. Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll see you soon for another swimwear review.
With love, McKenz
