Remember on Wednesday when I said I’d be sharing a fall capsule wardrobe later this week? Well, it’s finally here! Today I’m sharing a (mostly SheIn) capsule that’s perfect for the fall. I’m using twenty items to create forty different outfit ideas that are suitable regardless of the occasion. I’ve got looks for class, nicer events, and going out! I hope you’re as excited as I am for today’s post… let’s hop right in!
First things first, let’s talk about the items in my capsule wardrobe. I chose twenty different items for this fall capsule. Seventeen of the items are from Wednesday’s SheIn haul since I really wanted to make this capsule as affordable as possible for you all. The other three items are essentials that I just couldn’t find/get off of SheIn! I also included two hats for accessories; these didn’t count towards the twenty items. I’m linking everything below for you to shop!
In this video I’m starting off by introducing all twenty items I just linked above and talking through why I incorporated them into this capsule. Afterwards, I’m sharing forty different outfit ideas you can make using these twenty items.
I’ve worked so hard on this capsule so please give it a like if you enjoyed! I would love to hear in the comments what other styling videos you’d like to see if you’re interested in seeing more. Make sure to subscribe too!
I obviously couldn’t go out and photograph all forty of the outfits from the video. It’s way too cold for that and I honestly do not have as much time as it would have taken, lol. But I did get out and photograph five of the outfits from my capsule wardrobe. Let’s get on with the styling!
This is an outfit combination I wore time and time again throughout high school which is why I knew it needed to be included and photographed for this fall capsule. When I think of fall the first thing I think of is a bodysuit. This black one I wore the heck out of throughout this capsule. It fits so well and because it’s a bodysuit it tucks in perfectly with every outfit. I love a fur vest for texture, warmth, and a little sass. I stuck with plain skinny jeans for this look and added the fur mules for some fun. I love how the furs play off of one another. This black belt from Romwe and my gold Walmart earrings are must haves in my wardrobe and were worn so much throughout this capsule!

I have this sweater in so many different colors that I knew no fall capsule would be complete without it. I felt my capsule needed a pop of color to switch things up from all the black and white I typically wear. This sweater was so easy to layer with but I’m wearing it on it’s own here with a pair of flares. Flares are essential because they really can be worn for so many different events here at school: class, football games, sorority events, going out, etc. I love how wide this pair is but they are super long so these black booties were a must. I love these booties because they are another piece that transitions so well from day to night. The black hat matches perfectly too!

I needed to add these pants into the capsule for those days where you either a) need to dress up a bit or b) want to dress down a bit. I think these pants can easily do both. They are pleated so they look a bit dressier and are a great piece for presentations and such but they are also not jeans and are so wide that they feel as comfortable as joggers or sweats! I’m wearing them with that same turtleneck and black shoes + hat combo. I know a hat isn’t everyone’s style but if you’re looking for a fun fall accessory, a cabby is def the way to go.

Chunky cardigans scream fall to me so I obviously had to include one in this capsule. I was pleasantly surprised by this cardigan from SheIn—so thick and cozy! I am layering a green lettuce hem tee underneath. Pair this with a pair of black skinny jeans and mules and you’re good to go. This outfit is perfect for class and cute enough for any fall activity. I def recommend adding a pair of black jeans to your capsule. I never wore them in high school but wear them all the time here at Kent! They are a great basic and work really well for going out once it cools down.

Saving my favorite of the bunch for last! I love a good skirt + over the knee boot combination for the fall time and wish it wasn’t snowing here already so I could wear this! This same black turtleneck can easily be dressed up when paired with a cute faux suede skirt. This skirt is another piece that can serve multiple purposes. I chose to add over the knees to the capsule since they really are one of my most worn shoes throughout the fall months. I love how this capsule gives me the freedom to wear dressier combinations like this one or stick to jeans and a sweater.

Well, what are you waiting for?! Are you ready to start a capsule wardrobe after seeing all the cute outfits I made out of just 20 items! I’m not one to stick with just twenty items but if you’re trying to minimize your closet or are a student on a budget, a capsule wardrobe really is the way to go.
In all honesty y’all, I really hope you enjoyed this two part series. I worked so hard on these videos and hope you loved them. If you’re interested in seeing one of these every season let me know and I’d be happy to get working on one for the winter. If so, would you want to see the same number of items or would you want me to switch things up? A bigger capsule? A smaller one? I want to hear all your feedback below. Thanks so much for stopping by!
With love, McKenz
