I’m usually someone who wear so much color. As I scroll through my Instagram feed from the summer I’m always wearing a pop of yellow and throughout fall, a burnt orange hue. But as the winter weather has creeped up on us these last few weeks I’ve noticed how dull my wardrobe has gotten in terms of color. Suddenly my Instagram feed is full of me wearing white, black, and denim. And as much as I love a good ole neutral outfit, a little bit of color seems to suit my personality just right. With that being said, today I’m sharing a few outfit ideas featuring some pops of color as we ease on into the winter months.
I am so not a purple girl. It’s my mom’s least favorite color so it’s rare I ever wear it. However I saw this sweater on SheIn’s site a few weeks back and loved the cut of it so much that I picked it up. It’s not a true purple, more of a periwinkle in person, and I think it’s such a pretty color on! I love this sweater; it’s got all my favorite details— a turtleneck, cropped fit, and belle sleeves. I paired it with black skinny jeans and some white booties for a fun, trendy accent. I had this cute snakeskin belt lying around and thought it would be the perfect accessory for this look. It’s got a bit of purple in it and compliments the sweater so nicely.

My twin sister, Madison has always been the red girl in my family. She has the most beautiful long, dark brown hair and a fair complexion so the color compliments her perfectly. However, last winter I started trying to wear more red around the holidays and realized that it’s fun to wear around this time of year. I had this cute little sweater dress in my closet and figured now would be the appropriate time to style it. It’s a little big on me so I grabbed a ring belt and belted it at the waist to give it a little more shape. To match the belt, I added some black heeled booties. Tights would be super cute with this too if you’re somewhere chilly. This is such a great option for a holiday party!

I love me some royal blue! It’s a color I don’t reach for a ton but whenever I do, it sure makes me feel like a million bucks. I had to grab this oversized chunky turtleneck… I mean come on… it was practically calling my name! I love how big this sweater is and think front tucking it into your jeans is the perfect way to give it some shape. I hate to wear the same jeans again but similar to the periwinkle, a bright blue like this needs a pair of black denim to avoid being washed out. I decided this look could use a little animal print so I chose a coordinating snakeskin belt and pointed booties to finish off my look.
