Many years ago I walked into a DSW with my mom and found a pair of zebra cork wedges from White Mountain. They were my size, on clearance, and ~oh so trendy~ so naturally, I begged my mom to buy them for me. She did and that my friends, was the start of my love for heels.
It was also the beginning of my journey with White Mountain shoes. I’ll be honest, in seventh grade, I didn’t know anything about the brand but they were the reason my mom relentlessly agreed to buy me the shoes. After all, she had worn and loved White Mountain shoes for years. I have quite literally followed in my mother’s footsteps and have done the same over the years.
This is why I couldn’t be more excited about collaborating with White Mountain Shoes today! Unfortunately for us Ohio peeps, snow season is right around the corner. I know, I’m tearing up just thinking about it. However, I’ll admit, stylish snow shoes seem like quite the tradeoff for a little bit of cold weather. Luckily, I’ll be bearing the winter weather in style. Today I’m sharing two of my favorite new pairs of shoes that will be getting me through my first winter in the snow belt!
I decided to reach for two pairs of lace-up booties. What I love about these is that they have the comfort and vibe of a sneaker but they cover your ankles which is a must for the winter. This first pair I just couldn’t resist. This bootie is from the Cliffs by White Mountain Shoes line and they are hiking-inspired which makes them the perfect shoes if you’re a college student. I don’t know about you but I end up walking nearly five miles every day so a shoe that is comfortable and can be worn on the go is a must!
These shoes are outdoor ready with speed cord lacing for easy on and off and an athletic bottom that makes them super light. They’ve got a fleece padded collar that adds a little extra warmth too. These aren’t the shoes I would reach for during heavy snow but for those slushy days, these shoes will definitely get you through.
Whether you’re trekking across campus for class or going out these are the perfect option. I’m pairing them with jeans and a fun faux fur-lined leather jacket. This is my go-to look on campus. These shoes are available in three different colors and I’m wearing the “Natural” which is the perfect light brown that pairs with everything!
I am a fashion major so I would be lying if I said looks meant nothing to me. What I love about White Mountain shoes is that they provide practicality without sacrificing style! This pair is just too cute. These are a similar style to the pair above in the sense that they too are lace-up booties. They’ve got a chunky platform sole that gives you a little lift and with lugged treads, this shoe is a fun spin on your typical hiking boot.
The cushioned insole to these makes these super comfortable for walking long distances and the same fleece-lined padded collar makes these just as warm! The shaft of these is just a tad shorter than the previous shoes but again, they are that perfect in-between height of a typical sneaker and a chunky snow boot. I love these and think they are so on-trend at the moment!
If you’re in a colder climate you should totally consider grabbing a pair of these; they are the easiest shoe to dress up or down! I am wearing this style with a pair of faux leather leggings and a long sweater. Throw on a statement bomber jacket and you’re good to go. This is the lazy girls guide to staying cozy while still looking cute for class! These shoes come in four different colors and I have the “Gray” pictured here!
In addition to these two pairs, White Mountain has tons of different styles. Whether you’re looking for a winter weather shoe, new wedges, or a cute pair of flats White Mountain has got you covered. You can check out more of their shoes here! Right now everything is an additional 35% off with code NEWSHOES35. Act fast; this offer won’t last long!
Regardless of what climate you’re in, I’ve got a feeling you’re crushing on these cute booties too! I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on trendy winter footwear. I’ll be sharing more ways to stay warm (and dry!) this winter throughout the next few weeks so stay tuned!
With love, McKenz
