A few months ago I didn’t even own a pair of sweats, that is until I grabbed a pair of joggers from Express. I fell in love with them and quickly grabbed the style in five other colors.
When I started shopping at Boohoo I discovered the jogger jackpot. They have tons of different styles and colors and similar to my experience with Express, once I fell in love with one pair, I couldn’t get enough. I now own four pairs and already have a few more in my cart for my next purchase— they are just that good.
Having class just two days a week has made me a sucker for sweats. Aside from my morning trip to the gym, and heading to the dining hall to grab dinner, it’s rare that I leave my dorm room on my off days, which makes reaching for cozy loungewear that much more tempting. For those of you who have waited (literally) years for me to share how to make sweats look cute, today is your lucky day! What can I say, college has changed me haha.
As much as I love reaching for cozier, lazier pieces these days, I still haven’t hopped on the sweatpant train; joggers are my favorite as they look a bit more put together and are super fun to style. This simple combination is easily my most reached for when wanting to wear a pair of joggers.
Every girl needs a few staple pieces in their wardrobe. I tend to grab a black and white version of every kind of “essential” top. That means a tube top, tank, bodysuit, short sleeve, long sleeve, etc. This Boohoo cropped long sleeve is going to be around in my closet for many seasons to come; I grabbed it in both black and white. It’s super cropped so not necessarily something I would wear with jeans but it’s the perfect length to pair with high waisted joggers. This top is super soft and comfy and with it being under $10 it was a no-brainer purchase for me.
Because joggers obviously have a loose, oversized fit to them, I like the contrast of having a cropped, fitted piece on top. These joggers are the softest. They’ve got a fleece interior making them super thick and warm. They are the perfect length on me and the drawstring waistband helps fit these to my waist perfectly. Deep pockets are a must too!
I always reach for sneakers when styling joggers. I suppose little snow booties or mules could work too but these Yeezy style sneaks have been my jam lately. I love throwing on a pair of faux glasses when wearing something casual to slightly accessorize while still keeping the look relaxed. You can’t go wrong with a cropped puffer over top!

As much as I love the look I just shared with you, if it were up to me I’d be wearing a matching sweatsuit 100% of the time. No seriously, that’s how much I love matching sets. Boohoo sells the pieces to their sets separately which is both a pro and a con in my book. It’s so nice being able to select a different size for each item if you happen to be a different size on the top than the bottom but oftentimes one piece out of the pair will be out of stock, preventing me from picking up the complete matching set. With that being said, keep checking back as Boohoo does update their inventory frequently.
Fortunately, I was lucky enough to grab this set right away and boy am I sure glad I did. This cropped sweatshirt is the cutest. It’s definitely on the shorter side so if you want an oversized fit, go up a size! I love the boxy fit to it and the slight v-neck. The joggers I’m wearing here are the same style as above and I am obsessed. So soft and comfy! I am wearing a 2 in both of these items for reference.
For kicks, I went with a chunky pair of dad sneakers. These are great for walking to class and I like mixing the two shades of white. To keep my look a little edgy (and because Maggie MacDonald pulls it off so well) I obviously had to accessorize with a pair of thick chunky hoops. I think these do just the trick in finishing off the look.

My last way to wear joggers is with a graphic tee! I’ve been picking up more and more lately— there are just endless ways to style them. I wore this one with jeans and metallic booties to class the other day but a look like this is perfect if you’re wanting something a bit more relaxed.
I find that wearing a tee on its own just doesn’t really work for me here at school. I get so cold so quickly without an added layer so I’m wearing the same basic long sleeve from the first look underneath of my graphic tee. I can’t lie, every time I wear this combination it takes me back to my eight-year-old days, layering a Hannah Montana tee-shirt over my Justice cami but you know, we love a little ~nostalgia~. These joggers were such a fun color, I just had to grab them. They are a warmer, muted pink that is perfect as we transition into springtime.
Again, I’m wearing those same white sneakers and gold hoops to finish off my look. I think this one is a bit edgier than the rest and could totally envision it as a fun street style look in NYC! Grab these joggers while you can— Boohoo has so many different styles and color options and most of them are under $15 which is a price you truly cannot beat.

I truly never thought I’d be on the sweats bandwagon and yet here I am… I can’t lie, I’ll definitely be picking up a few more pairs when I place my next Boohoo order. Which color should I grab next? I’m thinking something bright like a fun pop of red! I hope you enjoyed seeing a few more casual looks from me today. I’ll catch ya Friday for my February favorites!
With love, McKenz
