I’ve always had a thing for all things country related but lately, my obsession has been on another level. From the music to the fashion I cannot get enough. Over the last few weeks, I have been picking up pieces left and right that fit the whole “Western” vibe that is oh so trendy right now.
Whether it be a little bit of cow print, fringe, or a big ole buckle belt you can count me in! Today I’m styling a few different country-inspired outfits to pretend I live in Nashville rather than Ohio hahaha— anywho, let’s get on with it.
This first outfit is without a doubt my favorite of the three. When I saw this top on SheIn’s site I stopped dead in my tracks, instantly knowing that I needed this in my closet. I would 100% recommend sizing up if you’re thinking about purchasing this as the fringe makes this top fit a little tight around the shoulders. What I love about this button up is that it truly can be dressed up or down. Whether you’re thinking about giving this a bohemian, festival vibe or want to dress it up, you really do have the ability to do both with this.
I decided to “dress” this top up in the slightest. I kept things casual with a medium wash pair of skinny jeans; however, to contrast, my white furry mules seemed like the perfect shoe for the outfit. I have been wearing these flats non stop lately. Not only are they super comfy but they keep your feet warm too which is such an awesome combination as we transition into spring.
To keep the classy vibes coming, I decided a clutch was just the accessory this look needed. Well, a cow print clutch that is. Can we talk about this beauty?! I will be carrying this every single day regardless of what anyone has to say about it lol— but, seriously, that’s how much I love it. It comes with a little chain that you can attach to make it a purse which is perfect if you’re headed to a country concert, a night out, or dancing with the girls! Just a simple pair of gold statement earrings to finish it off.

I’ll be the first to admit, my cowgirl boots and cow print obsession can be a bit intimidating for some people here in Ohio. If you’re looking to embrace your inner ~cowgirl~ realistically in a northern setting, like myself, this outfit is for you! Just a subtle pop of western to keep things classy and sassy.
This outfit combination has basically been my school uniform lately. This light tan sweater is super cute and cozy but the cropped style makes it a bit more fitting for the month of March. I paired it with my favorite raw hem jeans which are currently under $10 at Express! I love me some snakeskin— I have tons of variations of white, gray, and black but no tan snakeskin so when I stumbled across these booties I knew I needed them! These are the perfect everyday heel height and I love that they hit a bit higher up on the ankle for a flattering fit. The pointed toe gives them that country vibe that I love so much.
And as cute as this outfit is on its own, it’s the belt that really seals the deal for me! I have a dozen western belts but few as fabulous as this one. Something about the snakeskin just really strikes my fancy. I love how the chunkier style pulls this outfit together. Gold hoops were my earrings of choice.

Oh, how I wish I had a place to go square dancing…. I suppose I would have to learn first. However, if I were to ever go I envision myself wearing a number similar to this one. I mean come on; how could you not love this combo?!
The top I’m wearing is actually advertised as a jacket on Romwe’s site but I can assure you it’s as thin as a shirt. Although, I’m not complaining; I think it looks adorable buttoned up and front tucked into a pair of black skinny jeans. If you were looking for a sexy cowgirl costume though, I’d leave this unbuttoned with a cute bralette underneath!
A good ole pair of cowgirl boots will surely tie this outfit together. This white pair actually belongs to Sophie but I’d buy them in a heartbeat if they weren’t sold out in my size. I’m convinced if she can rock them every day to class, so can I! Chunky gold hoops to match my belt did just the trick.

Well, how do you feel about the cow print trend?! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love it. I’ve got my fingers crossed that it sticks around for a while and will most definitely be bringing my cowboy hat back to Ohio after grabbing it from home over spring break! I love wearing it when going out— I promise there is no better conversation starter, lol. Anywho, that’s a wrap for today’s outfit ideas. I hope you loved them as much as I did!
With love, McKenz
