Well, folks, I’m pretty sure just about every school across the United States has switched to online instruction until (at least) the end of the month. I know for me personally, I will not be returning to campus which means I’ll be finishing the semester from the comfort of my own home. As someone who was already enrolled in a couple of online courses and who works 30+ hours a week online because of blogging, I’m pretty accustomed to what’s about to become everyone else’s new “normal”. In fact, I’ve had a lot of you in the same boat, asking for tips on how to get through the rest of the year.
This past semester I only had classes Tuesdays and Thursdays which meant the other five days of the week I was sitting in my room getting tons of school and blog work done. And while it’s easy to think that these days are “days off”— they aren’t. Self-discipline was everything and now that my whole life will be moving online, it’s important to keep up those same habits. So, my number one tip for working from home is getting dressed. Even if all you decide to wear is a pair of sweats like the ones I’ll be sharing today, I promise you will feel so much more productive once you get up, make your bed, put some makeup on, and get dressed.
However, I will admit it’s tempting to reach for something cozy when you’re not planning on leaving the house. And since we’re on lockdown with all of this Coronavirus craziness, a pair of sweats sure ain’t hurting anybody! Embrace the cozy, cute loungewear this month.
After reading so many spring trend forecasts and seeing larger bloggers share tie-dye pieces left and right, I just know that this will be the biggest trend of the season. I’ve never really been a huge tie-dye girl but when I saw this sweatsuit I stopped dead in my tracks and clicked “Add To Cart”. Something about the bright, happy colors of tie-dye has been calling my name lately. I’ll be hopping on the bandwagon big time and plan on picking up more of this fun trend for the spring time.
Plus, you know me and my obsession with matching sets. Literally if it comes with a coordinating top and bottom I’m instantly sold. Tie-dye tends to run a bit pricier— this set was $40 total. While this price is still much cheaper than some of the other retailers currently selling similar items like Urban Outfitters and American Eagle, tie-dying some of your old favorites would be a fun DIY activity to do while you’re stuck at home.
And while this set was almost double the price of my typical Boohoo set, it is definitely the nicest set I have from them. Not only was the fit of both pieces super awesome, they are super thick and cozy. The perfect combo for getting your work done from home. Chunky white sneaks and thick gold hoops give this outfit a fun edgy twist.

While I am a huge matching set girl, I am aware that temps are starting to warm up which means I may not be in thick sweatshirts much longer. Therefore, I went ahead and picked up tons of basic crop tops from Boohoo. I love their simple tees for layering— not only are they super soft but they are all under $10 which is a steal. I grabbed this top in three different colors to pair with all of my sweats over the next few months.
For bottoms I’m wearing a pair of black joggers. I have this same pair in blue and the black definitely ran much larger. I’m wearing a 2 and am hoping they shrink up just a bit in the dryer since they are rather large in the legs. Luckily, Boohoo has real drawstrings so I was able to fit these to my waist pretty easily. For sneaks I’m wearing a fun new chunky pair from SheIn.
These are similar to a pair of Adidas sneakers that one of my favorite YouTubers, Danielle Carolan, keeps wearing. I love how chunky these are and think a statement shoe like this pair can totally give your basic sweats and tee combo a unique twist. I wore this outfit for traveling home the other day and loved it. This is a great combo for sitting at home; however, if you end up needing to leave you still look put together.

Have those days where you just don’t want to leave bed? Like, as in you’ll be calling into class from bed. Yea, I’m sure it’ll be happening to all of us at some point during the semester. Do your classmates a favor and at least get dressed. Even if it’s in a super cozy, oversized set like this one.
I typically stick to more fitted jogger styles from Boohoo but I wanted to give their oversized styles a try. This isn’t my typical set— not one I’d wear to class since I really am a denim girl at heart but I will totally be sporting this for a day at home. The sweatshirt is super cozy and the light green color is perfect for the springtime. Def size down in these sweats as they run a little large compared to other styles. These sneaks I’ve got on with this set have been my go-to’s lately. So cute and comfortable.
