Yee-haw! After watching a few too many episodes of The Ranch I’ve been obsessed with all things western. I’m sure you’ve been able to tell, as these last few weeks I’ve been breaking out the western belts, cowboy hats, and cow-print a bit more than usual, haha. So many of you said you wanted to see some country-inspired (keyword, inspired) outfit ideas so here we are!
Madison and I headed up to Colton’s family farm for these photos so that we could have a change of scenery and we had so much fun. It was crazy windy and a little too sunny out but nonetheless we managed to snap some cute shots that I’m so excited to share with you today. I hope you enjoy these four outfit ideas.
I wore this outfit a few weeks ago just for fun and I loved it. So much so, that I decided I needed to throw it back on so I could get some real photos in it. I started off the look in just a simple black tee shirt dress. To give the dress some shape, I threw on this huge buckle belt. I love the silver detailing along this one and the buckle goes perfectly with my shoes.
These aren’t exactly western boots by any means but I wore them for my Phi-Haw date party and loved how they looked. I figured I would pull them back out for this look as the buckles along the side coordinate perfectly with the belt. I’m, of course, wearing my cowboy hat! I picked this up from SheIn for that same date party and I wear it all the time now, whether it be for blog photos, my outfit of the day, or even a college party. I’ve gotten so much wear out of this baby and want another hat so badly for my birthday, lol!

This fringe top just had to be styled one more time here on the blog because it is that good. I love the way this top moves; the fringe is seriously amazing! The little button up gives me old-school country vibes but to modernize the look a bit and make it ~glam~ I’m spicing it up with some accessories. I went for a gold pendant necklace, a pair of thick hoops, and a gold buckle belt. I like to keep my metals consistent throughout my looks and these accessories really tied this outfit together.
And how could I forget, my cow print purse! I love the 2000s shape of this bag and think it’s just the cutest accessory to complete my look. For shoes, I’m wearing my favorite white boots ever. I styled these a ton in my Coachella outfit ideas post; they really are the perfect mix between a regular white bootie and a cowgirl boot! I’ve never been to a rodeo but if I had, this would 100% be the outfit I decided to wear.

Oh, how I love a simple cropped tee and denim shorts combo. This look is one of the easiest and a no brainer for so many people. Spice it up a bit with just a little bit of snakeskin! This belt is probably my favorite in my collection; I love how it instantly dresses up an outfit.
Plus, it pairs so perfectly with these snakeskin booties. These shoes are so versatile; I’ve worn them to class, out to parties, and they even work with this western-inspired outfit idea. They are a bit more pointed than your typical shoe which makes them the perfect style. This look obviously isn’t anything super special but it’s so me which is why I love it.

You know I had to break out my real cowgirl boots for this post! I got these from White Mountain a few months ago and as much as I love them, I haven’t put them to nearly enough good use. I thought they would look adorable with a flowy white lace dress. This outfit totally reminds me of something small-town girls wear for their senior photos, haha.
Obviously, this look isn’t super “country” but I thought it would be fun to throw into this post. Especially because I know this sort of outfit combination is popular amongst sorority girls in the south for game days and such! I actually wore this dress for my sorority’s preference round and I’m so glad I was able to style it again.

So, what do you think?! It was so fun having a “concept” photoshoot for a change where I had to get creative and actually dig through my closet to come up with outfits. If you want to see more blog posts this style let me know as I would love to do more of them. That’s all for now, y’all!
With love, McKenz
