It’s skirt season and I truly could not be happier about it. In my opinion, skirts are one of the most versatile pieces to have in your wardrobe. Not only can they easily be dressed up for a little date night moment but you can dress them down for an everyday outfit too. Today I’m sharing three of my favorite ways to style a skirt this season!
Anything gingham is my love language come summer. When I saw this gingham envelope style skirt I instantly thought of a gazillion ways to style it. I love the fit of this mini skirt; it’s the perfect cut and the envelope style gives it a little extra length on one side. There are also some cute buttons across the front that add such a fun detail. I don’t have any pink gingham so I thought this skirt would be a fun pop of color for my summer wardrobe.
You can pair a gingham mini skirt with just about anything— a college tee, bodysuit, or a little crop top like the one I have on here. This cami is only $5 from SheIn and it comes in a dozen colors. Admittedly, I have this in six colors myself because it is so versatile and easy to style. It paired perfectly with this skirt. Skirts don’t have to be super dressy; by adding this white crop top and a simple pair of white sandals you’ve kept this look super relaxed. I added my favorite clear bag from Gloss Game Bags to finish off this look.

I also love reaching for matching sets that have a skirt for the bottom half. Sets are so great because once you put one on, you really don’t have to put much thought into the rest of your outfit. I just recently grabbed this black set and I love how cute and casual it is.
I decided that such a basic look needed some edgy accessories to really bring it to life. I started off with a statement shoe, these pink furry mules are from SheIn and they scream “me”. My sister said it looked like I was playing dress-up and honestly, I’m here for it. To pair with the funky shoes I added a pair of pink acrylic glasses. These serve absolutely no purpose other than to make you feel cool. Gold hoops, a few layered necklaces, and my clear bag perfectly completed this look.

The only thing better than a cute summer skirt is a cute summer skort—am I right?! I seriously love skorts and have been seeing them everywhere this season. They give you the mobility of shorts but the dressiness of a skirt which is so awesome. This floral one has the most amazing color palette with lots of bright happy hues.
I’m doing my best to play off of those colors by pulling out the coral with my top. This is the same top from the first outfit just in a different color; I’m telling you it’s so good! I had a pair of floral earrings that happened to match perfectly! To pull out the yellow I added a new pair of baby block heels. They are the perfect height for everyday wear and leave you looking fancy while feeling fabulous. This would be a great outfit for brunch with the girls!

Ps please appreciate my good hair day in these pictures— I got it done approximately thirty minutes before these photos were taken and I don’t think it will ever look this good again in my life, lol. Anywho, those are the three ways I’m styling skirts this season— casual, edgy, and classy!
Let me know what you want to see me style next on the blog and I will be sure to get my creative juices flowing. I would love to hear which one is your favorite in the comments below. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yes I have that planned for my recruitment posts!
These outfits are so cute! While I love and would wear them all, I think my favorite is the floral skort. I also love wearing skirts in the summer as they’re so comfy and keep ya cool!
