I recently styled a couple of pairs of Dingo shoes here on the blog and it’s safe to say I’ve been hooked ever since. So much so that I’ve already got my hands on their newest pair of shoes, the “Peace N Love Leather Clogs”. These kicks are totally out of my comfort zone and are different from anything in my closet which made them even more fun to style.
If you’re unfamiliar with Dingo, here’s a quick recap on what they are all about. Dingo was established in 1969 and is one of the first lifestyle boot brands, specifically designed for a socially aware, fashion-conscious generation. With vintage elements and a modern flair, every shoe in this Dingo collection is made to reflect the unique American spirit. With hundreds of different styles— they’ve got everything from classic cowgirl to trendy western.
The Peace N Love Clogs are so unique. They’ve got a 4-inch heel that is super chunky with a thick platform making these very easy to walk in. They’ve got a seventies feel to them with the suede leather and studded sides. These come in several different colors but I went with “Whiskey”.
I wanted a color that could go with just about anything and that could easily be transitioned from one season to the next. While I will definitely be having fun styling these this summer, I know that they will be awesome as we move into the cooler months as well.
As for how I styled these cuties, I immediately knew I wanted a pair of flared jeans with them. I am a sucker for bell-bottoms and love the way these paired with the clogs. These jeans have a seam running down the middle of them and are super high waisted elongating the legs big time; the extra height of my shoes made me look so much taller than I actually am (5’2″)!
For my top, I went ahead and reached for a wrap front bodysuit from Express. I love wearing white to bring out my summer tan and a bodysuit is a must to seamlessly tuck into your pants. I could’ve left this outfit at that but I decided that my cowgirl hat was a must. This look would be perfect for a country concert, rodeo, senior pictures, or just your typical Friday afternoon, lol.
I couldn’t love this look more and cannot wait to style these clogs some more. I’ve already got a few ideas in mind and think they will look adorable with midi skirts, jumpsuits, or even a simple white flowy dress.
