3 Summer Dress Trends I’m Loving

There’s nothing I love more in the summer than a dress! Not only are they perfect for any occasion but they are so easy to style which makes them my go-to. Chicwish sent over the cutest new styles last week that I am so excited to be sharing with you today. These three dress trends are dominating the fashion industry this season and will leave you looking classy and stylish all at once!

Sassy Citrus

I’m a sucker for anything fruit print and so this sassy citrus dress was right up my alley. Maxi dresses are the absolute best. They can easily be transitioned from season to season and they work for almost any occasion. Keep it casual for your post-beach day outfit with sandals and a cardigan or dress one up for a nice dinner!

To do so, throw on a pair of colored block heels. I reached for something yellow to compliment the lemons of my dress. And of course, because I own a lemon clutch I went ahead and paired it with this outfit. Although I’m 99% positive the average person doesn’t have one of these lying around, it certainly pulled this outfit together and was the perfect accessory for this outfit.

The Bigger The Better

When it comes to statement sleeves, my mindset is always the bigger the better. I love items that are unique and make me stand out from the rest of the crowd. This dress is the perfect mix of subtle and statement— it’s got huge balloon sleeves that are super on-trend right now but the color palette is light and airy with a classic white and pale yellow.

Because the rest of this dress is rather simple with a shift like silhouette and dainty floral embroidery, the sleeves aren’t too overpowering. I happened to have a pair of heels that matched this dress to a tee so I popped them on along with a pair of floral earrings to bring my look together. I didn’t want to over-accessorize this outfit so I stuck with the basics—my gold M necklace from the Silver Heron and a couple of Mantra Bands!

Loving Leopard

Last but not least, let’s talk about babydoll dresses. Babydoll dresses have been popular for a few years now and they are without a doubt my favorite style to sport. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down super easily. The one I’m wearing today is a gorgeous light blue with some white leopard print on it.

The dress itself is very lightweight making it perfect for hot summer days. It’s got a flattering neckline and although it’s more of a “shapeless” style, the tiered ruffles give the dress some dimension. To play off of the hip print, I’m going with clear strap heels and some puffball earrings. These two really spice this look up; throw on a cute crossbody for your girls night and you’re good to go!
