How To Style Statement Earrings

If you know me you know the Styled by McKenz signature is always a huge pair of statement earrings. I love gaudy, obnoxious earrings and have so much fun styling them each day. It’s become my “thing” over the years and I am more than okay with being known as the girl who wears fun earrings.

However, I get questions from you guys all the time asking how to style such statement earrings and so today I’m giving you my best tips + sharing a few outfit ideas with you! I tend to wear my larger pairs in the summer; once it cools down I tone it down a bit and revert back to the basics. Anywho, let’s hop right in!

With A Monochrome Outfit 

When in doubt, go with a monochrome outfit. You can truly never go wrong with a little black on black action, even if it is the summer! I have this cropped tank in a handful of colors and it pairs so easily with everything. I popped it on with a fun pair of palazzo pants from Chicwish. These pants have got super wide legs and are a really lightweight material making them perfect for your post-beach day lounging.

For shoes, I threw on gold lace-up sandals. As for accessories, I like to keep things rather simple everywhere but on my ears. Because I knew I’d be wearing a large pair of statement earrings, it’s important to keep the rest of your accessories rather minimal. A gold cuff and a simple necklace will do just fine. This way, nothing is overpowering the large floral earrings. These draw attention to my face but becuase they match the rest of my look they aren’t “too much”.

With A Pop Of Color

I love a pop of color that’s for sure. This chartreuse two-piece set is such a unique hue and screams summertime. Because the color is so bright, the set itself is rather simple to provide the perfect amount of contrast—just a pair of wide-leg pants and a cute balloon top. I love the pockets on these pants and think this set could work for any occasion!

To give me a little bit of lift I popped on a pair of platform espadrilles. For earrings, I’m reaching for a fun pair from Romwe. This pair is so colorful with rainbow hues all around. Because these earrings are so bright and colorful, I thought they would go perfectly with this outfit. I always love letting bright hues play off of one another.

With A Slicked Back Bun

As you can tell, all black is a go-to for me. This jumpsuit is new and it’s so good! It’s on the dressier side and would be perfect if you worked in an office setting. To give this outfit a little spunk I threw on a pair of neon pink mules. I absolutely love these shoes for adding a pop of color; they really do give the look some sass.

Honestly, I paired this outfit solely around these earrings. I have an obsession with evil eye earrings and I just had to style these babies. They have so many fun colors in them which is why I thought they’d be the perfect pop with this black jumpsuit. Because these earrings are so large, they really need an “up-do” to compliment them. I threw my hair in a low bun so that all eyes (lol ironic) would be on my earrings! A bold gold cuff was the perfect finishing touch.

More Favorite Earrings

I figured I would go ahead and link some more of my favorite statement earrings. I’ve got quite the collection right now but here are a few pairs I’ve just recently picked up. SheIn, Romwe, Walmart, and Sugarfix by Target are my favorite places to find trendy statement earrings that won’t break the bank!
