Easing Into Summer Transition New Chinese Laundry Shoes
Well, there’s only one week until college move-in which means that summer is quickly winding down. And as sad as I am to see it go, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the cooler temperatures and fall festivities.
August and September are some of my favorite months to dress for. While they can be a bit awkward at times with cooler temps in the morning and scorching hot by the afternoon, there’s something fun about the transition that I’ve always enjoyed. Although I’m not fully ready to break out my chunky sweaters and boots, I’ve got a couple of outfits styled around some new Chinese Laundry shoes that are getting me excited for the weeks ahead!
Midi Moment
It’s been quite some time since I’ve rocked a midi dress. I’ve always loved the idea of them but I find they aren’t the most flattering on my petite frame. That is until I discovered this bodycon style from Fashion Nova. The fitted silhouette hugs my body in all the right places. Not to mention, this dress is so versatile and can easily be transitioned throughout the seasons.
With a wooden purse and a pair of flatform sandals, this is the perfect combination for August. These shoes are so comfortable and work with everything from dresses to jeans. As you ease into Septemeber pop on a denim jacket for an added layer. I threw on a pair of cat-eye sunglasses for the late summer sun and just a few gold accessories.

Wide Leg Bottoms
I love wide-leg pants and find them so versatile. I just recently grabbed this tan pair from the H&M outlet and I am absolutely obsessed—this light hue works awesome for the summer with flip flops but to make things fall-ish, I’m popping on booties.
I just grabbed these from Chinese Laundry and I have a feeling they are going to become my new go-to shoe. They’ve got a cut-out along the side making them the perfect “in-between” option. By adding a close-toed shoe, this outfit leans on the fall side with a solid black tank. A cute buckle belt and a cow-print purse complement this outfit so well. I love western accessories!
