There is truly nothing a good outfit and a pair of heels can’t fix. As I gear up for a big season of change this week, I’ve found myself needing a bit of a confidence boost. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite outfits to remind myself just how awesome I really am. Not only are these “power” outfits trendy, they’re super affordable too thanks to some adorable new Fashion Nova pieces. Double yay!
Oh gosh, I can’t even tell you how long it has been since I’ve felt this *badass* in an outfit. There is something incredibly powerful about a blazer. I don’t reach for them often but every time I do, I feel like the powerful woman I am. I absolutely love the fit of this set; the blazer lacks shoulder pads giving it a relaxed feel. The bottoms to this set are a black pair of shorts in the same silky material as the blazer. Although you can obviously wear these pieces separately, I love the shorts for the late summertime when it’s still hot out!
To keep things sleek and monochrome I went with a solid black cami layered underneath my blazer. of course, you could switch this out for a button-up or short sleeve shirt if your dress code is a bit more professional. Depending on your workplace, sock booties may not be the go-to but because I’m my own boss, what I say goes, lol.
I’ve had these boots for months and am finally getting the chance to pull them back out. Sitting mid-shin with a two-inch heel, these shoes elongate the legs and are crazy slimming. I imagine myself wearing something very similar to this to work at a (hopefully fashion magazine) in the near future! To give the look a little pizzaz, I’m throwing on lightning bolt earrings and a gold Fossil watch. Wearing something like this screams “I have my sh!t together” even if Covid-19 is handing it to you—gotta fake it till you make it, baby!

Something about this outfit reminds me so much of Ally & AJ—am I the only one?! I’ve been looking for one of these asymmetrical waist skirts for ages now and I finally stumbled across one I like on Fashion Nova’s site. I am obsessed with the wash of this; it’s the perfect medium wash and fits my waist beautifully.
Because this skirt already has a funky hem, I decided why not go ahead and keep the fun silhouettes consistent throughout?! I tucked a one-shoulder top from SheIn into my bottoms and added a chunky pair of black wedges to give things a bit of edge.
Although, the outfit was still lacking some flair. Luckily, there’s nothing a cabby hat and cat-eye sunglasses can’t fix. I added both to my outfit for the ultimate 2000s throwback outfit. If we weren’t stuck in a pandemic still I’d be headed to brunch with my girls in this cute combo!

If you’re looking for versatile pieces that can transition from season to season: look no further. These pieces are among the most versatile in my closet and can truly be styled to work for any occasion. While this outfit could totally work for “business casual”(in a fashion setting) it would be awesome for grabbing drinks with friends too.
I’m starting off in a solid black bodysuit. This is a long sleeve so it can be layered with a cardigan for the fall or worn with shorts and the sleeves rolled up as I have on here. The bustier-style cups are incredibly flattering and give your chest just enough lift! For bottoms, I’m wearing faux leather shorts in a light tan. I have a few pairs of leather shorts and reach for them constantly. They work so well with bodysuits but with tights layered underneath, they make the perfect fall combo—trust me!
I’m adding heels for a bit of height but flats or booties would work too! I popped on large statement earrings in the same hue as the shorts and a crossbody bag to complete my outfit. Don’t forget simple gold jewels to accessorize your outfit to a tee.

I love the asymmetrical jean skirt!
I’m loving that last look; the faux leather shorts really add something extra! I feel like a boyfriend blazer would be super cute in helping it transition into a fall look. Definitely perfect for drinks with the girls! <3
