Come fall, I’m all about the denim. While I do still love a cute skirt or dress, I can never say no to a cute pair of jeans on a crisp fall morning. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a hundred times again, Express has the absolute best jeans, hands down.
I’ve been wearing their denim for a few years now and I am obsessed. They can be quite pricey but when you find them on sale or in today’s case, so many of my favorites on clearance, it’s like striking gold! Today I’m sharing three denim styles that you need in your closet this fall.
I will never stop saying it: you need a pair of black jeans. In fact, you need more than one pair. I’ve got a skinny pair, a cropped flare, bootcut, ripped, and every style in between. If you’re in college or a twenty-something you’re in prime black jean time.
Chances are you’re headed somewhere where black jeans are a must: a party, date, the bar, class, you name it. I needed a new pair of black skinny jeans so I scooped this pair up for under $20 and they fit me like an absolute glove! These are a mid-rise, full-length skinny jean that I cuffed at the ankle to show off my cute white mules.
Because these were a mid-rise, I added a cropped ruffle top for a bit of contrast. I just recently got this top and I am obsessed. It’s fun and flirty and could seriously work for any occasion. To dress the outfit up I’m adding a wide-brim hat, tassel earrings, and a cute crossbody. Blue jeans would’ve left this outfit a bit too casual but black jeans give this outfit a polished finish. Grab a pair, you’ll thank me later!

If you’ve been following along with me over the past few months you would know I’ve had a recent obsession with cropped flare jeans. Express recently released this style and since I’ve added a dozen or so pairs to my collection (I wish I were kidding). So, when I stumbled across a pair of wide-leg crops, I decided I needed to give them a shot.
I love wide-leg jeans and was nervous that the cropped version may make me look stubby since I am on the shorter side, but it turns out if you add black block heels to your look, you’re good to go. There’s nothing I love more than jeans with a heel for an instant confidence booster!
This black bodysuit is also a new addition to my closet and it’s so fab! The ribbed material is super soft and it’s truly business in the front party in the back with its fun cut-out. I added a simple ring belt and gold hoops for a few classic accessories. This outfit could work for literally anything and is the perfect transition from summer to fall.

So hear me out, guys. I know this outfit isn’t everyone’s style but I’ve been seeing the lace-up heels over baggy jeans trend in every magazine as of late and decided that the time had come, it was finally time for me to give it a try. And to be honest, I felt really cool in it.
It’s no secret that the 2000s are back and with that comes oversized straight leg mom jeans. This is my first pair of jeans this style and I’ve got to say, I’m a huge fan. They remind me so much of Jennifer Anniston’s days on Friends, especially when paired with a cute cropped tank.
The key to styling baggier bottoms is a fitted top that’s on the shorter side. This will allow you to play with proportions and flatter your figure. I highly recommend sizing down in these bottoms; I’m wearing a 00 and would have gone smaller if possible. Add some accessories to your look to make it scream street style. I’m adding rectangular sunnies, a baguette bag, and a few gold chains to completely elevate this outfit.
