Fall Transition Shoe Trends

You know me and my love for Off The Beaten Track Shoes! OTBT is by far one of my favorite companies to work with during the school year because I truly do swear by their shoes. With supportive soles, stylish styles, and a wide size range their shoes check every box.

Coyote In Calf Print Ankle Boots

These shoes are definitely my favorite of the bunch so I’m starting off with them. As bootie season approaches, I always find myself having a hard time saying goodbye to my summer sandals. I love letting my feet breathe but also love the look of fall boots. These shoes are the perfect in-between for me.

These are technically a “shootie” which is a mix between a sandal and a bootie. These shoes are meant to be worn without socks and have a cut out along the side that dips down, making them feel a sandal. However, these are close-toed so they still have that fall element. I’m a sucker for cow print so the fact that it’s trending big-time this season is such exciting news for me! These shoes are handcrafted with luxe hair on hide leather making them top-notch quality. I do recommend going up half a size if you are in-between sizes!

Because these shoes are such a bold print, I wanted to make sure the rest of my outfit was rather neutral. These shoes needed to be the focal point of this outfit! So, I’m starting off in a white bodysuit. This is one of those basics that I constantly am reaching for. It pairs with everything and is a great layering piece.

I then popped on a pair of neutral wide-leg pants. These add a subtle statement to the look; make sure your bottoms are cropped to show off your shoes! To accessorize I popped on my favorite wide-brim hat; this matches the pants perfectly and a pair of fringe tassel earrings add just the boho feel this outfit needs.

Courier In Black Sneakers

The one thing you absolutely must have in college is a good pair of walking shoes. This time last year I discovered Off The Beaten Track after suffering terrible friction blisters on the soles of my feet from wearing (cute but cheap) unsupportive shoes around campus. Once I switched to their stuff, I never went back and could be found sporting a pair of their shoes every Tuesday and Thursday as I headed to class.

This semester, I reached for the new Courier sneakers. These kicks are comfy, easy, and lite making them the perfect shoe for someone whose always on the go. They are handcrafted with a wool mix material making them extra gentle on the heels causing no rubbing! They fit like a glove with Step Lite foam that adapts to your foot with every stride.

I’m pairing them with the go-to college outfit: an oversized tee and biker shorts. I know this outfit may seem rather simple (or boring) to you but it truly is what most college kids here at Kent are wearing this time of year. It’s still hot out but classrooms can be chilly; keep a sweatshirt in your backpack to throw on if need be! I’m adding gold hoops and cat-eye sunnies to spice up my look.

Camile in Night Shade Sneakers 

These are hands down the best shoes Off The Beaten Track sells. I have these in the grey and tan already so when I found out they released two new colors, I squealed with excitement! These slip-on sneakers are everything you could want in a sneaker and more. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good lace-up sneaker like the ones I just showed, but something like the Camile is more of my everyday vibe.

I’ve tried dozens of slip-on sneakers over the years but none quite like these. They are extremely comfortable and unlike other styles, they don’t tear up the back of my heels. Say goodbye to sweaty, blistered feet; this breathable mesh lining ensures the perfect everyday wear. Like seriously, I wore these to the dining hall, mailroom, class, parties, you name it.

I was pumped to grab these in the new navy color. My school’s colors are navy and gold so I have tons of college tees and loungewear. However, navy shoes are hard to come by so when I discovered these hidden gems, I was ecstatic. The first thing I did was pair them with a cute college tee.

So many girls on campus will be wearing graphic tees. Pair your favorite one with leggings or a cute pair of jeans. I’m slipping into my new sneaks and throwing on a pair of navy and gold tassel earrings to complete the look. I love the way this outfit came together—it’s such a  classic for any college student!

Jaunt In Calf Print Wedge Sandals 

A night on the town is calling and of course, so are the Jaunt wedges! I’m a sucker for a good wedge and always appreciate a little extra height. It’s such a confidence boost for me since I am on the petite side. If you’re someone who loves the look of heels but struggles to wear them all day, I highly recommend checking out Off The Beaten Track.

Their thick soles and contoured footbeds provide all the comfort you need. These come in a dozen colors but I had to grab them in the new calf print. They are the perfect bohemian addition to my fall closet. Plus, they pair perfectly with neutrals!

I’m wearing these wedges with an all-black look. I love going monochrome when going out— you can never go wrong with a bodysuit and cropped flare jeans. I’m adding a western belt and gold hoops. The only thing I’m missing is my cowboy hat! How fun would this look have been for a theme night?!
