Faux leather is back and better than ever as one of fall 2020’s hottest trends. I’ve been racking up quite the collection of faux leather pieces these last few weeks and am finally putting them to the test for you guys. Whether you’re wanting to wear this trend dressed up or down, you can do it in style with these outfit ideas.
I’ve got to admit, these orange joggers won me over the second I laid eyes on them. I hardly ever wear orange but the second fall rolls around I love whipping out the color. It’s fun, festive, and makes such a statement, especially when mixed with leather. These bottoms have a tapered jogger fit with just enough structure.
I just grabbed this solid black bodysuit and I am loving it. It’s a simple, ribbed piece; it’s actually got pearl accents along the sleeves but I rolled them up to keep things edgy throughout. For shoes, I added a pair of chunky black booties. I’ve had these for over a year now and they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes—they are so versatile and work for any occasion.
To keep this outfit streetwear-inspired I added gold chunky hoops and a lock chain necklace. These are so trendy right now! I then popped on a small black baguette bag and a pair of cat-eye sunglasses to complete the look.

It’s been a hot second since I’ve owned a leather jacket. I went through a phase with one when I first began my blog back in 2016 and haven’t gravitated towards one since. However, I’ve been seeing so many of them scattered across my Pinterest boards this month that I knew it was time to give one a try again.
I grabbed this one from SheIn and was so impressed with the quality of it. I’m wearing an XS and while it does fit me like a glove, I definitely could have sized up one. This way I could pair it over sweaters instead of just basic long sleeves like the one I have on here.
I tucked this bodysuit into a pair of skinny jeans. I haven’t broken these jeans out in forever but they were just what these black sock booties needed. I love sock booties because they elongate the legs big time without having too high of a heel.
The silver hardware of this jacket looks awesome with the silver heel of these boots and a ring belt brought the look together perfectly. If you want to start easing your way into edgier outfits, this jacket is the perfect way to start!

Oh, how I love me some animal print. Another fun way to sport your faux leather is on your feet. I’ve had these kneehigh snakeskin boots for almost a year now and they are hands down one of my favorite pairs in my collection. Talk about a dynamic duo with their neutral color palette yet striking print; these White Mountain shoes can easily spice up any outfit.
I’ve also been loving blazers this season. This one is a dress and it’s so fantastic. It’s got shoulder pads to give it some structure and sleeves that flare out just a tad for some dimension. It definitely runs big in the waist so I belted it with a snakeskin belt to match the boots. Nothing will make you feel more powerful than this outfit combo right here!

I’ve been a Spanx fan for ages now and I know so many of you love them too. They are definitely on the pricier side but they are worth every penny. Not only can you dress them up but you can dress them down too. Which, if I’m being honest, is what I do 90% of the time.
Today I’m pairing them with just a simple white crop top. Typically, I’d wear an oversized graphic tee with them but I figured something short and fitted would pair best with this oversized flannel “shacket”. Shacket is the new term for shirt-jackets. They serve as the perfect in-between piece this time of year (when you need something heavier than a shirt but lighter than a coat).
I left the flannel open but it would look adorable worn closed as an oversized shirt too. For comfort, I added my Ugg chunky sneakers. The soles on these shoes are so thick making them the best shoe for walking around campus/standing on your feet all day. They are an investment but one that is so worth it.
