I’ve been loving all things Princess Polly these days. Princess Polly is an online Australian boutique that has the cutest pieces ever. I just shared a haul featuring some new items from them on my YouTube channel today but figured I’d style a few of my favorite pieces here on the blog for you as well.
I got a good mix of pieces that could work for Halloween costumes and trendy pieces for the fall that I’ve been seeing all across my Instagram and Pinterest feeds lately. With my code MCKENZIEXO, you can get 20% off your entire purchase. So not only will you be rocking falls top trends, you’ll be saving a little cash while doing so. Double yay!
Schoolgirl style is trending big time this season and I’m here for it! So many of you have asked for dressier, internship approved outfit ideas. I promise I will have a whole blog post dedicated to it soon enough but in the meantime, I hope you can take a little workwear outfit inspiration from this blazer look right here. Plaid blazers are all the rage right now and I grabbed this cute one from Princess Polly.
All things collared are trending too right now (which I’ll be touching on in just a moment). I, of course, layered a black button-up underneath. This top is from SheIn and the metallic sheen + belle sleeves keep this dressier top from being “stuffy”. I promise your workwear doesn’t have to be boring!
I slipped into a pair of black skinny jeans. While I typically would stray away from mixing brown and black, I wanted to give it a try today. This blazer has a mix of black, blues, and brown so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to play with color. Plus, who doesn’t love a pair of knee-high boots?
This 90s inspired style is so popular this season and will make you feel oh so powerful. Add a belt to help break up the blacks and hoops to make this look even more ~profesh~.

As I just mentioned, collars are huge right now, whether it be on your typical blouse like the black top I just shared or a cute crop like I have on here. This top is just the cutest thing ever. It looks like a boxy, cropped long sleeve and yet it’s got a little bit of fleece lining making it feel like a sweatshirt. It’s the perfect weight for those “in-between” temperatures.
I kept this outfit super casual and slipped into my favorite pair of Express jeans. I love the high rise fit of these and the raw hems add just enough to the look. I’m such a fan of these and love the vintage feel this outfit gives off. I’ve styled this top with a pleated skirt too and it looks amazing! Tik Tok got me hooked on that combo and I can’t say I’m mad about it.
I popped on my favorite pair of tan mules from Dingo and a coordinating snakeskin belt to complete my outfit!

Anything pleated, plaid, or let’s be real—both, are on my radar this season. I’ve been itching to grab a plaid wool skirt for the fall and finally got my hands on one. The color palette of this one is so perfect for October/November and would complete a Thanksgiving outfit beautifully.
I, however, will be wearing mine pretty casually around campus in the meantime. I paired my skirt with just a simple black long sleeve. This too is from Princess Polly and it’s such a versatile piece for this time of year. You can wear it on its own or pop on a cardigan/cute coat overtop. It’s awesome for layering and is the perfect amount of crop.
Although I’ll be honest, now that I’m looking at this outfit twice I think a black chunky sweater would’ve looked better with this outfit. Something with the proportions of this outfit is a little off for me. Don’t worry it’s still cute either way!
To finish off the outfit I added black booties. Once fall rolls around, I love adding lace-trimmed frilly socks to my outfits. They look so cute peeking out over the top of shoes and with a plaid skirt, you’ll be feeling all the school girl vibes. Pop on a knee-length coat for an added layer to this outfit.

Are you all about the schoolgirl inspired details right now? I have to admit, I’m loving all the plaid, collars, and blazers this season and cannot wait to style more of them as the month progresses. Be sure to check out Princess Polly for all of these cute pieces + more fall finds. Catch you all soon for more fall outfit ideas!
With love, McKenz
