Booties are the absolute glue to my wardrobe. I’ve collected dozens of pairs over the years and yet my holy-grails almost always come from the brand Chinese Laundry. I’ve been wearing Chinese Laundry shoes since I was in middle school and they are among the best of the best. With trendy styles that won’t break the bank, I find myself turning to them constantly.
I just recently grabbed two new pairs of booties from them: a pair of white and a pair of black. Truth be told, that’s all you really need to survive the fall months anyway. Today I’m styling my new kicks for ya in hopes to convince you that you *need* these two shoe styles in your closet asap. I hope you enjoy!
I just got this wrap sweater in the mail from Windsor and it is too cute. I love the unique tie-front detail and it’s the softest material ever! I, of course, paired it with my favorite black skinny jeans. These have a few rips and are the perfect fit— they are a few years old from Express and yet I still reach for them constantly.
Of course, I’m wearing my new white booties from Chinese Laundry. I’m one of those people who is insistant on their top matching their shoes. I don’t know what it is about me, but I just love the coordination. I’ve had about five pairs of white boots over the years but these are by far my favorite pair. The heel height is just under two inches so they are super manageable to walk in. Not to mention, they don’t look like cheap costume shoes as many white pairs do.
This outfit wouldn’t be complete without a few accessories. I literally cannot stop wearing this tan Lulus hat. It’s hands down my favorite piece I’ve received this month! My nude crossbody matched perfectly and dressed this look up just enough. Statement earrings and a few simple gold jewels completed this outfit perfectly.

Aside from white booties, black are my second most worn shoes! These too I just got from Chinese Laundry and I couldn’t love them more. Typically I reach for a slim sock bootie but these chunky, rounded toe boots were calling my name. With 90s elements these babies are trendy and yet still a classic in my closet.
I styled these boots with a pair of cropped flare jeans from Express. I have tons of cropped jeans that I wear with heels, sandals, and mules in the summer/fall and always get concerns from you guys about wearing them in the cooler months. No worries, you just need a pair of boots with a higher shaft like this pair right here. This way you won’t have your ankles exposed and can keep warm.
Up top, I’m rocking a solid black turtleneck (shocker) under the cutest new leopard bomber from SheIn. This has a sherpa feel to it with leather accents that pair with the boots so well. I reached for a classic ring belt and my favorite gold hoops to tie the look together. This outfit works for any occassion and is a super accurate depiction of something I’d wear this time of year.

There is truly no outfit that can’t be completed by a pair of black or white booties. These two pairs have quickly become staples in my closet and I know they will be getting far more use in the coming months. Make sure to check out Chinese Laundry for hundreds other adorable, high-quality styles. In the meantime, if you have any other requests for me be sure to leave them down below! Thanks so much for stopping by.
With love, McKenz

I have always been so weird about booties because I thought they looked like crap on me. I’m short and have very muscular legs (thanks dance and gymnastics) and always thought that they cut me off and made me look frumpy. Ben I found the Vince Camuto booties that everyone was wearing last year, I gave in. Now I’m obsessed and want to buy all the booties in all the styles!
