It’s officially sweater weather here in Ohio and with a heaping pile of new sweaters sitting in my closet, it only felt right to start sharing them with you today! I’m breaking down ten ways to wear sweaters this fall featuring some adorable new pieces that are all under $30. You can be comfy and cute this season without breaking the break.
And, upon popular request, I’m sharing today’s outfits mirror style. I’m honestly not the biggest fan of blog posts this style but you guys have assured me that these photos help you get a better idea of how the outfit would look on you personally. Plus, many of you said you like seeing more looks which is much easier for me to do this way. Ask and you shall receive!
Shackets are all the rage this season! These pieces are thicker than your average flannel but thinner than a jacket making them the perfect layering piece for this time of year. I love pairing them over light sweaters for a comfortable fit. This white ribbed one is awesome—it’s not too thick and it’s got a cute lettuce hem along the bottom. It’s a great length and works really well under this cropped shacket.
I tend to wear black jeans the most in the fall since they pair with just about everything. I threw these on and a pair of green crocodile boots. I just recently got these from Romwe and they are the coolest! They add just enough spunk to your outfit and are a fun pop of color. Throw on a gold chunky necklace and hoops to complete this edgy vibe.

I’ve got this sweater in three colors now and it’s definitely one of my favorites! It’s super flattering and can be worn unbuttoned as a cardigan or buttoned up as a sweater as I have on here. These pearl details are so flirty and feminine— I had to double up with my matching headband and earrings to complete the look.
Cropped flare jeans easily transition into the fall with a pair of booties. Reach for sock booties with a higher shaft so that your ankles aren’t on display and you’re all set. I love how classic yet trendy this look is!

I mean come on…. who doesn’t love a shorts and tights moment?! I know I can’t resist! I wear these shorts all the time whether it be in the summer or the fall—they are such a staple and I transition them from season to season by simply wearing a pair of sheer tights underneath. Throw on sock booties to slim and elongate the legs all at once.
The sweater I’m styling this time around is a white v neck. The black stripes and cable knit detail give this a retro feel that I can’t get enough of. To keep things a bit dressier I threw on a chain-link bag, gold hoops, and my new favorite gold chain necklace. This trio will instantly “glam up” your outfit.

I’ve got Thanksgiving on the mind when looking at this outfit! You know me and my love for mustard; I simply couldn’t resist this chunky, oversized turtleneck. Not only are the sleeves the perfect amount of flared but this sweater has a relaxed fit that’s just right.
I slipped into my favorite flares ever from Fashion Nova. The wider the bottoms, the better! These are super high waisted so a front tuck of the sweater was necessary and so were a pair of heeled booties. To tie the brown of my shoes back in, I added tassel earrings and my favorite Lack of Colors felt hat. This outfit would look amazing for any fall occasion!

Headed into the office and need something business casual? This outfit is for you then! This neutral sweater is so cute and such a staple in my wardrobe this time of year. You could easily wear this with leggings and a pair of sneakers but with black cropped flare jeans and a pair of mules you’ve made this outfit “office-ready” in no time!
These shoes are the easiest way to give your jeans + sweater combos a more professional feel. To accessorize, reach for hoops, and a classic ring belt to accentuate the waist.

I don’t reach for cardigans too often but when I do it’s almost always to help transition a favorite summer dress into fall. This black ribbed dress is from Windsor and one of my favs. It comes in dozens of colors and literally works for every occasion—it’s one of the easiest pieces to dress up or down.
I went the dressy route and layered a burnt orange cardigan over top. I love how chunky this is and it’s hands down one of the highest quality sweaters I’ve ever picked up from Romwe. I then layered a pair of tights underneath my dress and slipped into black sock booties. A few layered gold necklaces were just what this high neck dress needed. This outfit would be perfect for Thanksgiving too!

I love layering jackets over top of my sweaters, especially leather ones! The key is choosing a sweater that’s not too bulky. This turtleneck is still super warm but it’s also pretty fitted which makes it really easy to layer underneath outerwear pieces. My jacket is from SheIn too!
I added a pair of black girlfriend jeans and nude sock booties for a city chic feel. To finish off this outfit, I reached for my new black purse from SheIn. This is the perfect edgy element. I love that little round clip-on; it’s just big enough to fit your face mask!

The easiest way to wear a sweater is with a pair of black skinny jeans. As I mentioned earlier, they pair with everything! With a bold leopard print like this sweater has, they were just the basic bottom it needed. For shoes, I’m wearing a neutral pair of mules from Chinese Laundry.
I reach for these often as they work with every outfit you could imagine. This too would be another appropriate outfit if you work/intern in a business casual setting. It’s a polished outfit that never fails. Size up in this sweater if you want it to be more oversized.

I’ve got a feeling leggings are the route most of you are taking these days thanks to working/learning from home. I can’t blame you; I’ve been wearing them more often than I’d like to admit myself. When wearing leggings, I always reach for a pair of Spanx. They are hands down the best bottoms on the market if you’re looking for leggings to wear on an everyday basis that look trendy rather than sporty.
I paired mine with a simple sweater from SheIn. You can easily dress this one up or down and it’s got a super cute flared sleeve. I threw on lots of gold jewelry to add some spice to this look and reached for a chunky sneaker to keep things relaxed. This is a very college-friendly outfit idea!

Last but not least, the infamous sweater and collared shirt combo. Tik Tok has made this outfit idea all too common and I’d be lying if I said I’m not loving it myself. It’s preppy yet trendy at the same time which we all love! The white collared shirt is amazing if you’re looking for a good work basic! I’ve worn it dozens of times since picking it up and am obsessed.
I threw on a pleated skirt, of course! These too are super trendy right now and keep the schoolgirl trend going. For shoes, I’m wearing black Chelsea boots and have a pair of ruffle trim socks peeking out over top—how fricking cute!
