I’m currently in denial that winter will be here in just a few weeks which is why today I’m sharing ten items you need in your wardrobe this fall featuring some of the cutest new pieces from Lulus. These items have quickly become staples in my wardrobe and are items I reach for frequently when getting dressed for class and putting together looks for the blog.
Lulus is one one of the hundreds of retailers that are hosting Black Friday sales all week long so a majority of the items I’m sharing today can be found at a discounted price. Just a heads up, if an item from Lulus is sold out, make sure to put your email on the waitlist so they know to restock! They are really good about restocking popular items so this is definitely worth it if you really love an item that’s currently unavailable.
Sweater dresses are a fall must have—especailly around this time of year when holiday gatherings and Friendsgivings are happening left and right. I’ve got dozens in my closet and was so happy to welcome this hunter green one to the collection. It’s the perfect lenfth and the mock neck gives me a little added warmth which is always apprecaited. Because I’m on the shorter side, I almost always end up belting my sweater dresses. This helps give the look a little more shape and keeps me from drowning in the dress.
Another go-to piece this season are knee high boots. I’m so happy we’ve moved past the over the knee trend and back to this style boot! They are far more flattering on my petite frame and slim the legs like crazy. I just grabbed this pair from Lulus and they are the perfect neutral hue for this time of year. Not only do these pair with everything but they instsntly give your outfit ~cool girl vibes~ thanks to the crocodile finish and three inch heel. I am obsessed and cannot wait to wear these more.

If you’re new around here then you’re probably unaware of the signigicance black turtlenecks hold in my wardorbe. There is truly nothing, and I mean nothing, you can’t pair with a black turtleneck. I’ve got bodysuits, crop tops, and slim-fit sweaters like this one here and wear them constantly. No matter the style, I love them all and keep them in roatation all fall and winter long. The one I’m wearing today is from Fashion Nova and it’s the perfect weight to layer underneath cute outerwear pieces.
Speaking of cute outerwear, this plaid coat is a new find from Lulus and I am obsessed. I live in Ohio for most of the year and it gets much chillier here than my hometown. That means a knee length coat is necessary at all times to keep warm and the wind out! The colors of this coat are so unique and yet are still realtively neutral allowing it to pair with tons of outfits.
I’m wearing a favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans (old from Express) and black heeled booties. These too are a must in my closet. Whether you’re getting dressed for a night out, class, or even a stroll downtown these work for every ocassion. I’ve got tons of shoes that fall under this category but this specific pair from Chinese Laundry have been my favorites recently. They’ve got a super thick sole and a chunky heel that is so comfortable to walk in! Add a cute belt and a hoops and you’re good to go.

This outfit is chock-full of fall wardrobe esesentials starting off with this cableknit sweater! As I mentioned in the last look, thin sweaters are a favorite of mine, especially for layering. The creme one I’m wearing here is also from Lulus and is so soft. The sleeves are long enough for my crazy long arms and it’s full length which you guys always appreciate! This sweater will keep you super warm without adding any bulk since it’s fitted.
I threw on a gorgeous fuzzy plaid scarf over top. Scarves are an awesome accessory as they are stylish yet functional at the same time. This one is so cozy and has a soft color palette that goes with everything! I know I’ll be getting tons of use out of this come winter in Ohio. And while we’re on the topic of accessories, let’s talk about felt hats. There is truly no outfit complete without one! I’ve got about five in my collection now, this white one being my latest edition. It matches almost every outfit and gives your look a little extra spice in no time.

I know sweaters have been a common theme throughout this post and it’s because I wear one almost daily this time of year. Off the shoulder sweaters were super popular a few years back and they’re coming around again this year. When I saw this gorgeous chestnut one I knew I needed to grab it! This color is so flattering on and would be perfect for Thanksgiving later this week.
When wearing soemthing off the shoulder, I always recommed reaching for a statement pair of pants. These Fashion Nova flared jeans with this sweater is an unbeatable outfit combination. These jeans are so slimming and make your legs look miles long. They run on the longer side so I highly recommend a pair of heeled shoes with them. I went with nude sock booties to match my statement earrings and keep things feeling boho.

As I mentioned, they are having tons of sales this week so now is the perfect time to shop! Let me know which look is your favorite in the comments below! I’m going to have to go with the first sweater dress myself.
