Oh gosh, I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to be bringing you a styling blog post today. Now that all of the obligatory end of 2020/beginning of 2021 blog posts are out of the way, I can finally get back to regularly programmed content. Don’t get me wrong, I love recapping my recent accomplishments and sharing new goals with you but I’m eager to get my groove back.
I shared another Fashion Nova haul on YouTube last week and finally got around to shooting some looks featuring the new items. Easing back into things and sharing them with you today. I scored some super cute pieces that I had so much fun styling! I hope you love these looks and enjoy seeing some photos in my good ole Maryland stomping grounds.
If you keep up with my blog then you know two of my favorite kinds of pants are flared jeans and leather leggings. Needless to say, Fashion Nova’s new leather flares seemed like an absolute ~must~. They definitely run a bit bigger than I expected so I recommend sizing down if you choose to order them. Other than that, they are a dream. The wide-leg bottoms and shiny finish are a fun twist on a classic pair of black bottoms.
Because these pants make such a statement, I decided to go with something simple up top. I have this ribbed turtleneck from them in five colors now and it’s hands down one of my favorites. I’m a sucker for anything fitted as they can be worn on their own or layered with other outerwear pieces.
To give mine a cropped feel without hacking off the bottom, I simply tucked the bottom half underneath my bra. This is one of my favorite Tik Tok styling hacks and it works on just about any kind of top. I popped on a few gold accessories and my favorite black sunglasses to finish off the look.

Oh, how I love a leather shorts + tights moment in the winter. Don’t get me wrong, I know this isn’t the kind of outfit you’d be sporting on just any given winter day—but when the occasional dressier event comes up, this outfit will do just the trick.
Skip the boring dresses and bland skirts, this outfit combination will score you endless compliments and make you feel like quite the polished princess. I tucked a solid black turtleneck bodysuit into my new leather shorts from Fashion Nova.
The key to completing this outfit is reaching for a pair of sock booties. Not only will these elongate the legs but they’ll give you a little extra height. The pointed toe is super professional too. I envision myself wearing something similar to this when I work in a magazine-setting post-grad. Eek—I can see it already!

Jeans and a sweater is the easiest outfit idea in the book this time of year. Although, it can get a bit repetitive as it’s one I wear time and time again. So, I’m spicing things up today by adding a nude felt hat and a cute pair of butterfly earrings to match. These few accessories keep things neutral but help add a little flair.
My sweater is a recent favorite. It too is from Fashion Nova and is super soft. I love a good chunky knit and you can’t go wrong with a turtleneck to keep you extra warm. My black flared jeans are also from them—I have several pairs but these are some of my most worn! They’re a bit long so a pair of nude heeled booties did just the trick.

What kind of looks are you sporting this season? I’d love to hear what you’re on the hunt for as I place more orders for the upcoming weeks. I’ve got lots of new arrivals sitting on my clothing rack that I’m dying to photograph and share with you soon. Keep your eyes out!
With love, McKenz
