As colorful as my wardrobe is, I find myself gravitating towards neutrals more than ever come wintertime. I’ve racked up quite the collection of basics this season and decided it was time to share ten ways I’m wearing neutrals. Whether you’re looking for some business-casual outfit inspo or something to lounge in, I’ve got you covered!
I know, I know I’ve been saying a business casual lookbook is in the works for months now. But I promise it’s coming—in fact, that package of clothes just arrived today and 20 outfit ideas should be going up within the next week or so. In the meantime, this outfit can act as a little “teaser”.
You can’t go wrong with a sweater vest layered over a solid white button-up. Not only is this combo super professional but it pairs really well with all kinds of bottoms. I slipped into a pair of dark wash skinny jeans but leather leggings, slacks, or even a pair of flares would work well with this outfit too. To finish off the look I’m popping on a pair of chunky black boots and reaching for a baguette bag.

This is another outfit idea that could also work as office attire. Although it’s the perfect option if you’re working from home too! If you’re wanting to look put together yet still be comfy, leather leggings are going to be your best friend. These are the new patent leather ones from Spanx and they are the best! They’ve got a super shiny finish and hit just at the ankle. I’m wearing the petite XS.
Of course, a longer sweater is a must with leggings. This one covers my tush and is so cozy. I tend to gravitate towards turtlenecks this time of year too for a little extra warmth. With a pair of mules, a chain-link purse, and a few gold accessories you’ll instantly transform this outfit!

Snow season is upon us, folks! We’ve got ten inches coming our way and although I almost never leave my house on a snow day, I know some of you have no choice. Keep warm in a cute matching sweatsuit! I love this fleece-lined one from SheIn. The joggers tapper in just enough so a pair of black, weatherproof booties do just the trick with them!
Of course, a parka is a must this time of year. I just grabbed this one and am obsessed with the color—it pairs with both black and browns so it’s super versatile. Keeping my ears warm with a fun puff-ball beanie. I have this hat in a gazillion colors and it’s one of the best.

My everyday uniform is jeans and a sweater. Not only is this outfit super easy to recreate but it’s effortlessly trendy. I’m starting off in an oversized turtleneck from SheIn. These mom jeans have been some of my favorites recently. They’ve got just the right amount of rips, keeping things super casual.
Again, I’m slipping into a pair of black booties and throwing on my current favorite crossbody purse. This bag is so practical and helps break up all the brown. I’m then throwing on a cute sherpa-lined bucket hat to spice things up—I’m a sucker for this style!

This outfit is straight off of my FYP and I can’t say I’m mad about it. Tik Tok has influenced far more of my fashion choices than I’d like to admit. Sweater vests are all the rage and this one gives off major 90s vibes with a fitted turtleneck layered underneath. I’m then throwing on a pair of straight-leg jeans. These have the perfect relaxed fit and are the *trendiest* pants at the moment. Don’t forget a chunky black boot and a baguette bag to tie the look together.

I find myself sticking to the neutrals even when it comes to my loungewear! These SheIn joggers are the best of the best. They come in 10+ colors and are under $15 when you use my code Q4mckenz15 at checkout. They are just the right length and have a thick fleece lining that is so warm and cozy.
I paired mine with a long sleeve crop top and a pair of white chunky sneakers but there are endless ways to style these bottoms. A matching hoodie, flannel, or crewneck would all look adorable with this look as well.

Sticking with all of the basics for this outfit. I’ve got tons of cropped crewnecks in my closet and I find myself always wanting to pair them with sweats. It’s time to switch things up a bit!
I’m wearing mine with super high-rise jeans from Express. These have a relaxed, straight-leg fit that’s effortlessly cool. They are on the cropped side so a pair of high-top sneakers were a must. My platform Converse have been on repeat these days. These go with everything and are perfect for days I’m on my feet.

I feel like February is always the most brutal part of winter. Needless to say, it’s getting super chilly here in Ohio so I wear something similar to this on the days I actually leave my house. You can never go wrong with a monochromatic look. Black on black is a must for me!
I’m then popping on my new favorite winter weather boots. These Steve Madden shoes have a sherpa lining that keeps your foot super warm. Plus, they are weatherproof so the salt and slush won’t ruin them. I’m then layering up with my all-time favorite jacket. I love the look of teddy jackets and this knee-length one keeps the wind out!

A shacket layered over a basic tank has been my go-to outfit combination these days. I just grabbed this top in white and black and it’s one of the best—so easy to layer with! My shacket is so soft and comes in a few different color options. I love wearing it buttoned up with a pair of black jeans too.
Sticking with straight leg jeans and reaching for a pair with an asymmetrical waist this time around. The fit of these is incredible! Popping on Converse and gold hoops to complete this look.

Last but not least I had to give a little ~night out~ option for all of my ladies looking for a little date night/drinks outfit inspiration. This leather bodysuit is an absolute dream. It’s the easiest to dress up and down with shoulder pads that give it a little extra structure. It paired perfectly with a pair of cropped flare jeans and some heeled booties. Of course, a chain necklace and purse were also necessities!
