I’ve been in quite the style rut these days, feeling quite repetitive with my outfit choices. So despite spring feeling forever away, I just have to share a few winter to spring transition outfits with you today. I know those few weeks of “in-between” temperatures can be a pain in the booty but with a little layering, you’ll be good to go.
If you’ve kept up with my blog posts for some time now then you know that this camel, knee-length coat was one of my closet staples in the fall. I find myself reaching for a lot of the same pieces comes spring, and I have a feeling I’ll be reaching for this beauty a ton. The weight of this jacket is perfect for those brisker mornings but doesn’t have any insulation which will keep you from overheating throughout the afternoon.
Come spring you can shed your sweater layers and reach for a basic bodysuit instead. The white ribbed one I’m wearing is from SheIn and looks adorable paired with ripped jeans. These ones from Lulus have been a favorite of mine recently. I’m not usually one to reach for this style but I have to admit, I am loving the mix of distressed and feminine.
Of course, I had to pop on a pair of booties to match my top—that’s my best tip in regard to looking put together. These white booties are my go-to’s regardless of the occasion. They’ve got a super manageable heel height and are rather comfortable. I just grabbed a new crossbody from SheIn and am using that to complete this outfit. I love the neutral hue and this patterned strap adds some fun dimension to the outfit.

Of course tank tops are a spring favorite but it’s still too chilly to wear them on their own here. My favorite way to wear them is by layering a long sleeve bodysuit underneath. I’m reaching for a turtleneck to keep me extra warm. This tank is a recent SheIn find and is actually a sweater material! It’d also look super cute worn on its own with a cardigan layered over top.
For bottoms, I’m wearing my new favorite straight-leg jeans from Express and a pair of chunky black boots for a little height. These give off major 90s vibes when paired with my crocodile baguette bag! It’s been forever since I whipped out my baker boy hat but I decided this was just the outfit for it. The leather paired perfectly with my boots and gave this outfit a modern-day Blair Waldorf vibe.

Cardigan season is back, baby! I go through phases with cardigans—neglecting them for months and then reaching for them daily. They are perfect come springtime when you need a little extra warmth in the morning but can then shed your layers later in the afternoon. The one I’m wearing is super oversized and has a batwing fit that’s super comfy.
I love a bright white for the spring and am pairing mine with an all-black outfit. Monochrome outfits are the easiest combo in the book when getting dressed last minute. Pop on a simple long sleeve top, ripped skinny jeans, and chunky boots and you’re good to go. I recommend breaking up your look with a simple ring belt and some gold jewelry.

Layering up for the spring doesn’t have to be boring! I hope these three outfit ideas gave you a little inspiration on how to “bundle up” this season. I’ll definitely be sharing a few more transition looks in the coming weeks—just waiting on a few more pieces to get here first. Thanks so much for stopping by!
With love, McKenz
