I’ve always heard bloggers rave about Spanx but it wasn’t until July that I was able to get my hands on a pair. And I quickly learned why so many people swear by their stuff. Not only are their leggings the best of the best in terms of quality, but their mission statement speaks volumes. After falling in love with my first pair of faux leather leggings I did a major deep dive on the brand, wanting to learn anything and everything about how they originated.
It turns out their founder Sara Blakely is one of the most bad a$$ women you’ll ever hear about. In less than 20 years she was able to turn her revolutionary idea of smooth pantyhose into a multi-million dollar company. In March of 2012, she has named the world’s youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes Magazine and one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People. With headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and retail shops across the United States, Spanx can now be found in over 50 countries across the world.
They truly are there to help women feel like their most confident self and I’m reminded daily how proud I am to support a brand as fantastic as them. While I do love their undergarments and classic faux leather leggings, this spring they are focusing on expanding their activewear section and have released several new pieces that are to die for. They were too good not to share with you all!
Spanx has always had a few activewear options but their new Booty Boost Leggings completely changed the game for me! These leggings are incredible. I am wearing a size XS in them (sizes range from XS-3X) and they hug me in all the right places. These are very high-waisted and hit me just above the belly button, concealing most of my mid-drift area.
With a few seams along the back, your booty will look as perky as ever! I’ve worked out in these already and didn’t have to pull them up once. They come in three other colors and two prints and are worth *every* penny. If you are typically a Lululemon girl these are very comparable, if not better, thanks to the little bit of shapewear.
I actually already had their low-impact sports bra in black and was so excited to receive it in this fun, new pattern. This bra has got a really flattering fit and is lightly padded making it super comfortable for your next workout or everyday wear. I’m tying one of my favorite zip-ups around my shoulders in case an extra layer is needed.

Before you call me out, back in the day I actually did take tennis lessons. I was clearly no Serena Williams but I sure did love a good tennis skirt. I’m thrilled that they are making such a comeback right now and hope we can accept these cute mini skirts as a staple in our athletic wardrobes from here on out. If you read this blog post then you probably have already seen me talk about the Get Moving Skort from Spanx.
I loved it so much that I grabbed it in another color! This blue is the same hue as those last leggings and I am obsessed. As I said, it serves as the perfect pop of color for the spring. This skirt is just the right length and has built-in spandex underneath to keep your booty from being on display. It also comes in white and black if you’re looking for something a bit more versatile. I am praying they come out with this piece in even more colors because nothing compares.
I’ve been on the hunt for a new longline white sports bra for months now so I was thrilled when Spanx sent over this cutie. This sports bra is another new release and let me tell you, it deserves all the love. With medium support, this top holds your boobs in place while giving off a cropped tank top look. Of course, you can layer a top or zip-up over this but I’m rocking it on its own for now. My favorite white chunky sneakers and a pair of crew socks complete this sporty look in no time.

As you know from the first look, Spanx released an all-new pattern in more than just sports bras. The Booty Boost leggings are also available in this fun pattern! I’m typically a huge fan of matching sets but I found these leggings were a little too busy when paired with the matching sports bra.
No worries, I’m reaching for that same white sports bra for a second outfit in a row. The fit of this is so similar to the Lululemon Free To Be Bra but it’s got far more support making it the perfect option for your high-intensity workouts. I rocked this outfit earlier this week for a jump roping session and walk around campus and it did just the trick.

I know Spanx pieces are on the pricier side of items I share here to the blog but they’re worth every penny. I like to think of their items as investments because they truly will last you forever. Plus, pieces that make you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin are priceless. Shop more favorites from the brand here.
I have noticed such a shift in my mental health the days I prioritize physical activity and am hoping that some cute new activewear will motivate me, even more, to start moving my body. I hope you love these new Spanx pieces as much as me; I can’t wait to see what other items they release this spring. Until then…
With love, McKenz
