I’ve been picking up various tops and dresses over the last few weeks to prepare for the spring temperatures and noticed a common theme throughout… fun sleeves! When I think of spring one of the first things that come to mind are statement sleeves! They’ve been trending for several seasons now and I find myself gravitating towards them time and time again. Whether it be a bell, puff, or balloon sleeve I can’t get enough. Sharing a few ways I’m wearing them with you today!
Nothing screams spring break vacation quite like a statement sleeve crop top. If you’re new around here, mustard yellow is my absolute favorite color—it’s such a happy hue and it looks amazing with a tan. This top is to die for. I’ve always been a fan of bishop sleeves but have never seen ones quite this large. These ones are super wide and make such a statement!
The bodice of this top fits similar to a bandeau, meaning it’s super cropped. I recommend pairing this with super high-rise bottoms. I went for jeans since it’s still a little brisk here in Ohio. I figured I’d try out the straight-leg style since everyone on Tik Tok is raving about them these days—my jeans are currently under $50 from Express and fit like a glove. I’m wearing a size 00.
Nothing makes me feel more put together than a jeans + heels combo. To finish off this outfit I’m throwing on a pair of white, lace-up heels from Lulus. I’ve added a cute baguette bag and a pair of statement earrings to match. This outfit is perfect for that post-beach day dinner.

Are you a 2021 graduate? If so, please let me know in the comments below. I’ve racked up quite a few DMs over the last few weeks requesting graduation dresses and am debating dedicating an entire blog post to them. I grabbed this white dress from Romwe a few weeks back with the intention of wearing it on Easter but it too would be perfect for graduation season.
Because graduation photos are ones you’ll look back on for years to come, I recommend choosing a sleeve that’s a little more “normal”. These smaller puff sleeves are a bit more timeless. They give this dress just enough dimension and aren’t something you’ll look back on in years to come thinking “what the heck was I even wearing?!”. The rest of this dress has a super simple silhouette. It hugs the waist just a tad and is the perfect length. I love a little lace too!
As much as I love lace-up heels, I figured a strappy block heel would suit this outfit better. These were another Romwe find and they are surprisingly really comfortable even after long periods of time. I’m wearing those same white statement earrings—shockingly enough these are from Walmart and yet are still some of my most worn earrings.

I’m so sad that New York Fashion Week was virtual this year. I was really looking forward to strutting the streets in cute, over-the-top pieces. This dress would have been perfect for an afternoon show! Instead, I’m stuck wearing it for a mid-day photoshoot in Kent…. sigh.
I’m not usually a huge fan of bubble dresses but this one was too cute to resist. It runs a little short but with a pair of mid-shaft booties, I made it work. The color blocking along the sleeves is an unexpected twist that is so cute for springtime. Hoping I can find an occasion for this beauty because she deserves to be worn.
