If I’m being honest, this blog post is far over due. I begun working on this series weeks ago, placing a huge order of new work-ready goodies from SheIn upon popular request. Unfortunately, that package was shipped to my home address so it took a few weeks to make it here to school. Hence why this post is coming a bit later than I promised.
Due to this delay, today’s outfit ideas are a bit more fitting for the winter-spring transition time. No worries though— I’m happy to share a second edition to this series this spring. In the meantime, get ready for twenty five (yes, you read that right!) business casual outfit ideas.
Keep in mind that the term “business casual” is used very loosely these days. For some workplaces this means denim, where as others it means a button up top and heels. Regardless, I did my best to share a wide variety of looks that are trendy yet work appropriate. Enjoy!
Perhaps this outfit feels a bit more fall than spring; regardless, I was so drawn to this top. The deep red is such a gorgeous color and I was blown away by the quality of this button up. This is a super thick material that has just enough sheen. If your work place allows denim, I highly suggest these wide leg jeans from Express.
They are the perfect amount of high-rise and are an ankle length that pairs well with mules, heels, or even boots. Plus, you can style them with cute crop tops for your weekend ventures. To complete all of these looks I’m sticking with a few core accessories: gold rings, a few bracelets, a watch, and a pair of hoops. These will leave you looking polished in no time.

This outfit incorporates all the basics and is perfect for those brisk spring days. The key to making a solid black turtleneck look a bit dressier is by throwing on a knee length coat. I chose this camel one to match my two-toned booties. These have a 2.5 inch heel and are perfect for days you want a little extra height but don’t want your feet to hurt! These straight leg jeans are my favorite style right now.

Perhaps your business-casual dress code is a little more traditional. No worried, I’ve got you covered too! Button-ups don’t have to be stuffy. I just grabbed this patterned one from SheIn and love the statement it makes. I tucked it into a pair of black dress pants. These too are from SheIn and I was so impressed with the quality.
These fit me beautifully and were the perfect length on my petite frame. I slipped into a pair of mules from Chinese Laundry. They are definitely an investment for mules but are worth every penny. Not only are these super comfortable but they work well for office and weekend wear.

You’ll see a handful of sweater vest outfits throughout this post because they truly are the perfect winter to spring transition piece. You get the warmth of a sweater without adding the bulk all around. I was blown away by the quality of this one and am wearing it as I type.
While you could definitely layer a long sleeve bodysuit or collared shirt under this, it looks adorable on its own too. I slipped into my all-time favorite cropped flare jeans from Express and a pair of mules to complete the outfit.

I don’t think blazers will ever go out of style. Plus, they are a super easy way to dress up a pair of jeans. I recommend sizing up for a little extra wiggle room if you choose to grab this blazer—I’ve got it layered over a ribbed turtleneck and it fits just right. Pairing those same Chinese Laundry mules with this outfit and experimenting with a fun gold pendent to spice this up.

When in doubt, black on black is the answer. I’m pairing a black bodysuit with a black silk midi skirt from SheIn. Both of these items were super high quality and are as soft as ever! I’m throwing on another knee length coat for an added layer. This one is a bit lighter than the last, making it the perfect weight for early spring. I’m keeping things dressy with my two-toned booties and a cute chain-link crossbody.

Another sweater vest coming at you! This one layers perfectly with skinny jeans or pixie pants thanks to the high-low hem that covers the tush. I have this specific piece in three colors now and it’s one of SheIn’s best. Not only is it super flattering but it’s crazy soft. Again, I just went for a classic black mule but this would also look adorable with a pair of heels and a blazer for something a bit fancier.

You see, this outfit definitely isn’t the “norm” in a lot of work places but I envision myself wearing something of this sort when starting my job. Perhaps the “anything goes” mentality is a bit more acceptable in the fashion industry, lol. Regardless, I wanted to throw this outfit in for all my peeps who follow a trendier, more relaxed dress code,
I’m starting off in the perfect black bodysuit. This has just the right neckline, not too low but still flattering. I’m then layering on one of those arm warmer sweaters to spice things up. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this trend but I think with a pair of boots to match and a cute black bag it looks so chic! I’m definitely a fan.

I cannot say enough good things about these leather pants. I have them in four different colors now and they are hands down one of the best items I’ve ever received from SheIn. With a suede-like intrerior these bottoms have just the right structure and surprisingly provide a little warmth. I love a paper bag waist and leather, although a classic, is very trendy at the moment.
I’m tucking a simple bodysuit (I prefer a square neck) into the pants and finishing off the look with a pair of simple block heels from Franco Sarto. These are just the right height for every day wear.

I tried to grab a few different button ups so that I could have some variety and I loved this one. This metallic brown is such a fun hue and I loved the fit of this—it was definitely the most oversized of the bunch and yet it still tucked effortlessly into a pair of straight leg jeans. I slipped into cute mules from Romwe. I recommend grabbing this style shoe in a few different colors; they are lifesavers!

With spring right around the corner, skirt season is almost here. I know mini lengths don’t work for every office; feel free to throw on a pair of tights if that’s more your jam! I’m pairing my leather skirt with a chunky turtleneck to keep warm up top and those same two toned shoes. I swear these make every outfit look 10x trendier in no time.

I love a good dress and this one is perfect for the office. It comes well past the finger tips, has a modest square neckline, and covers the shoulders thanks to these dramatic balloon sleeves. I love a good pair of lace up heels to boost my confidence. These too are from SheIn and match my earrings + crossbody beautifully.

If you’re going full on business casual mode than this is the outfit for you. Nothing screams power outfit quite like a blazer and leather pants moment. These are those same black leather pants from before just in a different color. I love this nude—it pairs well with everything! Plus, the length of these pants are perfect with a pair of block heels!

Perhaps you’re creeping into warmer temperatures and are ready to show a little leg. Keep things classy with a collared shirt dress. I have a few of these and they are some of my favorite pieces to style. They’ve been around for ages but Tik Tok has got ahold of them and suddenly they are trendy as heck!
I’m layering a sweater vest over top. This is the same style as that blue one just in a soft brown that screams spring! White sandals complete this outfit beautifully.

You can’t go wrong with a little black dress. I know it’s not sweater dress weather everywhere at the moment, but perhaps it’s still a little chilly where you are. In that case, this dress is one of my favorites. It comes in a variety of colors, is just the right length, and looks amazing with a pair of sleek sock booties. A pair of patterned tights would spice this outfit up in no time.

I know this outfit seems kind of casual but it reminds me of something my mom would wear to work on a typical Thursday so I thought I’d throw it in. You can never go wrong with jeans and a sweater. I love a good mock neck to keep things professional + you warm!

Midi skirts are another business-casual essential. I grabbed this black silk midi and was so impressed with the quality. This was super thick and very soft making it a staple in my closet. It comes in a few colors and is under $15 too which is such a steal.
Because this comes up a bit higher, I figured pairing it with one of my favorite cropped sweaters would work well. A gold chain layered over a turtleneck looks effortlessly chic. Pop on your favorite heels (or flats) to finish off the look.

Brown is back and better than ever, as I’ve told you a gazillion times. This midi dress is apart of the SheIn basics collection and is incredibly soft. It’s double lined up top and pairs wonderfully with a plaid blazer. Throw on a pair of mules and you’ve got an outfit that looks incredibly put together and is still comfy!

Almost all of the outfits in today’s post could work with these straight leg dress pants. They are surprisingly comfy too! I paired mine with a solid button up. I have this top in a couple of colors now and it’s definitely my favorite of the bunch. It fits just right and is the perfect length for tucking/untucking. It comes in a gazillion colors and is under $15 which is a steal!

If you don’t have a leopard mini skirt what are you waiting for?! I grabbed this in the black and orange combo and am obsessed! It’s the perfect pattern + color mix for the spring. Plus, the slight slit along the side makes this so easy to walk in. A solid black top + heels is all you need to create this killer outfit!

I swear I’ve worn this top in 1/3 of these outfits and it’s because it’s just that good. It’s got a professional cut and is so soft. Plus, it’s a bodysuit which is perfect for tucking into fun bottoms. I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend picking this up if you choose to order anything!
Again, I’m wearing those leather pants and this time, am wearing them with a simple sock bootie. This baguette bag is a staple in my closet—fits all of the essentials.

I wanted to share another outfit with this button up because it’s just that cute! Keeping things a bit more relaxed this time around and am leaving it untucked with a pair of black skinny jeans. I love this combo together and always feel like black denim looks a bit more professional. I’m cuffing these jeans once and slipping into nude lace-up heels for a little extra lift. Although, flats would work just fine. Personal preference I suppose!
Outfit Details— top: SheIn, jeans: Express, heels: SheIn, earrings: SheIn, necklace: SheIn, rings: Ana Luisa, bracelets: Ana Luisa
Agh! This blouse is a must! It comes in a few different colors and this burnt orange is just to die for! This top has a mix of a cowl + high neckline that is incredibly sleek. With a low bun and big hoops this would be perfect.
I’m pairing it with straight leg jeans and a short nude heel. If you’re headed somewhere after work, this outfit is right up your alley. It looks effortless and would be perfect for post-work drinks with friends too!
Outfit Details— top: SheIn, jeans: Express, heels: SheIn, purse: SheIn, earrings: SheIn, rings: Ana Luisa, bracelets: Ana Luisa
Again, not the typical work outfit but one that I would gladly reach for time and time again. You can’t go wrong with a sweater vest layered over a button-up dress. This time, I’m pairing the dress with my favorite two-toned boots. To bring that nude back into the look I’m popping on my favorite crossbody to match. Picture me strutting to my magazine job in the city wearing this—I can see it already.

Running late and don’t know what to wear? Everyone’s got a black top, jeans, and a pair of black booties. Throw them all on, grab a blazer, and layer on the gold jewels and BAM instantly put together. It’s nothing crazy but sometimes the basics come in handy.
