Spring break is in full session and summer is right around the corner which means my DMs have been flooded with bikini haul requests. If I’m being honest, by now I’ve got a swimsuit for every day of the year but you guys are constantly sending me new styles to test + I know these posts serve as such a resource for you. Therefore, I will continue to crank them out monthly (as long as you don’t judge my massive collection!).
Today we’re switching things up and testing out a different retailer. Romwe is actually owned by the same company as SheIn so the quality and sizing of their suits are comparable with them. However, each sell their own styles and price point can vary within a few dollars.
With many requests for more “family friendly” and “full coverage bottom” bikinis, I aimed to choose a variety of these styles. If I’m being honest, very few bikinis from Romwe are a true full coverage—they seem to have their own definition of that, lol. Some of them were huge hits and others couldn’t have been further (or smaller) from the picture. I tried my best and as always am giving you my full, honest thoughts.
Talking through all of the suits pictured below in this video. Not only am I discussing sizing, fit, and prices but I’m trying each suit on so you can see how they fit (especially in the rear!). Be sure to give this video a big thumbs up if you enjoyed so I know to do more of these in the future.
The number one question I get regarding swimwear is sizing. For those of you wondering I am wearing the smallest size available in each of the suits. That means if they offer an XS, I am wearing an XS. If the smallest size offered in that suit is a Small then I am wearing a Small.
Want to find a swimsuit that fits you best? Here’s how to do so successfully.
If you’ve read any of my bikini reviews here on the blog than you know by now we’re starting off with the low rise suits. I’ve tried my best to cover all the options so some of these are full coverage, string, strapless, self-tying, you name it!
The thing about high-cut bikini bottoms is they are 823x more flattering on my figure. They slim the waist and elongate the legs but they are impossible to get in a true full coverage. These are as close as I can get to a covered rear end. Regardless, I love this suit. The color is fantastic and this halter style top can be tied a gazillion different ways making it incredibly versatile.
Of all the suits in today’s review, this one was definitely in my top 5 favorites. It’s got a very “safe” amount of coverage in the butt. Plus, bottoms without ties are my favorite because there’s no chance of them coming untied/falling off. I love this underwire style top. They give the perfect tan line but with the new and improved cup sizes, can work for your every day swim too.
I love a good burnt orange in the summer. This color looks amazing with a tan. This style top is becoming increasingly popular this year. It’s got sturdy underwire and a self tying middle that caters to flat chested and bustier ladies alike.
This suit was another favorite. This style top is my current favorite as it’s practical for tanning and swimming. With a t-shirt bra like fit, this gives you all the support while giving your chest a perky lift. The bottoms are full coverage all around + it came with an adorable sarong to tie around your waist!
This was easily my least favorite of the bunch. The top has one long piece of underwire that gave me uniboob vibes. Not to mention the bottoms were super small—both in coverage and in fit. I didn’t feel like this one flattered me in any way. Size up if you do choose to get it.
This suit is a very safe option and perfect if you are younger and just starting out in bikinis. This one reminds me of my first padded swimsuit! It’s got a slight scoop in the front and laces up the back. The bottoms fit just like your average bikini underwear from PINK, lol.
I wish I could wear strapless suits but they just don’t stay up on me. One shoulders are the perfect compromise for me instead. I find that some one shoulder suits run very short in height, leaving you with a nip slip or a lot of underboob. This one was perfect. The bottoms are full coverage with a cute tie along the side.
This is another safe option. Super family friendly, fits like your average bra and underwear, and works for tanning + swimming. What more could you ask for?!
This one shoulder top has an adorable tie along the bottom. These bottoms are a true full coverage in the butt and the front which isn’t something we see all that often from a retailer like Romwe. I have to admit, I find this style bottom to be a little unflattering on me, shortening the torso a ton.
I loved this suit although it definitely leaned on the cheekier side with the high cut bottoms. The top had true cups, underwire, and a touch of push-up making it super flattering and supportive. Plus, this color combo is sure to make a tan pop.
If you’re looking for a good “water sport” suit, then this is the one for you! It’s got amazing coverage in both the top and bottom, holding everything in place as you kayak, jet ski, tube, and swim.
The cut of this suit is the exact same as that mauve one from earlier in this post. I’m obsessed and love this fun pattern to make a statement. If you’re looking for a good “lay by the pool” suit, then this is the one. It gives such a simple tan line.
I also snagged another suit in this print. I love a good triangle top. The bottoms of this were definitely skimpier than I expected but it comes with a cute sarong to cover up with.
I can definitely say the same with this suit. The bottoms were teeny tiny but there was an adorable sarong that came with. Plus, I love this fun print!
Tee shirt tops are back in business! If you got a little too much sun on your shoulders, then this style will be your best friend the next day. The ring detail is so flattering and this ties along the torso slimming you down instantly. The bottoms have an asymmetrical tie that is super fun.
I call these bottoms the “diaper” style and they are about as skimpy as it gets. The picture of this swimsuit on Romwe’s site was very deceiving. This fabric moves long those strings, causing it to synch up into teeny-tiny coverage. It’s still cute, but not at all family friendly.
If you have a bigger chest than you would love this style top! It fits just like a bra and the bigger the chest, the better you’ll fill out the cups. The bottoms are more of a moderate coverage but are still super cute. I like that these ones sit a little higher up on the hips.
This zebra kini was too cute. It’s got more of a plunging top but the coverage is still good since the cups are a bit wider. The bottoms have a thinner band which I prefer but the bottoms are a true full coverage. Oh, and no see through issues with this either!
I wasn’t a huge fan of this color on me but you all seemed to like it in the haul… I wanted to find a full coverage, self-tying bikini bottom and I’m convinced they don’t exist. Something about this style just never covers your full rear end, lol.
The same goes for this one. I loved the fit of this but it’s definitely much smaller than the photo. I really loved this top though. It fit me perfectly and the color was super unique.
High-waisted suits tend to offer a little more coverage in the front and back. They can be a bit tricky in sizing but I’ve got you covered! Let me know if you want to see a full high rise haul soon.
If you’re looking for a good “active” swimsuit that’s high waisted then this is going to be your best bet. I am obsessed with this color palette. With no self tying straps or clasps, there’s no chance this suit is flying off + it’s full coverage up top and on the bottom.
The bottoms of this suit fit very similarly to the last one but the top is more of a plunging style. It’s very flattering and actually has a decent amount of support thanks to the larger cups.
I have a variation of this swimsuit in tons of colors now and it’s a never fail. Not only is this top very comfortable but it’s a pretty standard tan line too. I’m a huge fan of this one.
This suit gives me major lifeguard vibes and I’m not mad about it! I’m loving red this season and this suit fit me like a glove. If you want to wear a triangle style but don’t get enough support from a string bikini than I highly recommend this one. The bottoms hit you at a super slimming spot too.
This suit isn’t quite high waisted but it’s definitely not low rise either. These cut out bottoms are super flattering and really help elongate the legs. I love a good wrap top and this two toned one is so fun!
I don’t reach for one pieces nearly as much as bikinis so I only have two to share with you today. If you prefer this style, let me know and I’ll do my best to choose some more one pieces the next time I place an order!
I grabbed two suits in this exact style because it’s just that good. I am a sucker for this burnt orange. It compliments every skin tone. With a cut-out along the chest and an asymmetrical neckline this suit is trendy yet still functional.
Can’t go wrong with a little black bathing suit. Here’s the same exact style. Full coverage in the tush and so flattering!
Like I mentioned earlier, each one of these suits is under $15 for the top and bottom. That is such a steal already but you can grab an additional 15% off your entire Romwe purchase when you use my code morganA2 at checkout.
Well, I know not all of these were “full coverage” but I tried my best to find ones that were a little more family friendly. If you’d like to see a part 2 to this series, let me know in the comments below and I’ll get working on that. I’ve been getting lots of requests for high-end swimwear so that’ll be next.
With love, McKenz
