Graduation season is right around the corner and while it’s not time for me to walk across stage just yet, I have dozens of followers who are getting ready to do so! I couldn’t be more excited for you all as you enter this new stage of life—but first, let’s make sure you leave this one in style.
I figured now was the perfect time to round up some graduation outfits. I’ll be sharing more dresses as it gets closer but for now, here are a few of my favorite looks from Lulus! They have the best formalwear and are my go to store when shopping for a special occasion.
I know every school is different, while some require white, others allow you to wear whatever color you please. We had a choice for my high school graduation and yet I reached for white anyways, as did most girls. You can’t go wrong with the basics; plus, white matches every cap and gown!
This first dress is definitely my favorite of the bunch. It is so fun and flirty—everything about it is adorable from the criss-cross back details to the layered ruffles. There are a few different ways to tie this dress but I went for a classic plunging moment. It’s not super booby and would look amazing with your gown and stole layered over top.
For my graduation, I made sure to spice up my look with an accent color. My school colors were green and gold, so naturally I reached for a gold pair of heels and earrings to match. Ironically my college school colors are navy and gold, so I have a feeling I’ll be doing the same when taking my grad pics next summer.
I went ahead and grabbed a pair of gold mules and a matching clutch now! I am obsessed with this bright happy hue. While this combo is perfect for your big day, it’s also adorable for a summer date or sorority formal. You’ll definitely score multiple uses out of this beauty!

This dress is a little more timeless than the last, with a classic neckline and a small ruffle along the hem. It runs a little longer then your average Lulus dress so if you’re on the taller side than you’re in luck. Plus, the quality of this dress is unmatched—it’s double lined and so soft.
You can’t go wrong with a monochrome moment. I highly recommend a block heel for graduation day. The thick heel will give your foot a little extra support and keep you from sinking into the grass if you have an outdoor ceremony. This white pair is from Romwe. The strappier the better if you’re looking to elongate the legs!

Perhaps a mini dress isn’t quite your thing. While there are tons of midi and maxi dresses on the market, I know some people prefer a good ole pair of pants instead. No worries, I’ve got you ladies covered too. When I saw this lace jumpsuit on Lulu’s site, I knew it’d be the perfect addition to this blog post.
While I do love a good romper, a jumpsuit is definitely more appropriate for the occasion. Pant legs keep things classy and sophisticated. This one ran a little long but was nothing a pair of three-inch heels couldn’t fix. Again, here I am with a pop of color. Kent tends to pull this baby blue in as an accent color every now and then. I figured I’d work ahead and grab them now. Chances are I’ll be wearing these when it’s time for my own graduation photos to be taken.
Anywho, back to the jumpsuit. This one is entirely lace and would be perfect for a bride to be or wedding shower. It’s made of the most amazing lace and has a raw hem which I love. I love the simple v-neckline of this and the strappy back is so elegant. Definitely a piece that will score you lots of compliments!

These aren’t the only looks I love from Lulus. They’ve got dozens of other styles to shop—linking a handful of favorites that are fully stocked and perfect for graduation season.
Are you a 2021 grad?! I’m debating making a master list of places to look for graduation dresses as I definitely have a few other favorite retailers up my sleeve. If you’re interested in seeing that post, let me know below. I’d love some feedback and would so appreciate any other blog post requests while you’re at it! Cheers to the last month of school.
With love, McKenz
