Trendy Tops To Wear This Summer

Agh, it feels like it’s been forever since I sat down and shared some looks with you. With the school year winding down and everyone scrambling to complete their final assignments of the semester, I haven’t had many chances to get out and shoot content for the blog.

Thankfully Olivia was free last week and the sun was shining. We made it out just in time to capture some photos in the most adorable new Zaful pieces. Typically I shop their swimwear but I stumbled across some adorable summer tops while online shopping that I had to have. So, here they are—you won’t want to miss out on these summer 2021 trends!

Eyelet Lace 

Oh, there’s nothing I love more than a dainty white crop top. Eyelet lace comes back in style every spring/summer and for good reason. I mean, what screams sunset picnic more than this look right here?! Crop tops seem to be getting shorter and shorter these days and this style is becoming increasingly popular.

I personally love this cut. This top ties twice along the center and has the most adorable puff sleeves. No bras allowed with this kind of top. I tend to forgo one, but if that’s not your vibe than nipple petals or a sticky bra are going to be your best bet!

A high-waisted bottom is a must with this top! Dress it up with a floral midi-skirt or keep things casual with a pair of skinny jeans. These are my current favorite pair from Express. They come up past the belly button to accentuate the waist and make your butt look extra perky.

They have just enough rips and the ankle length pairs perfectly with a pair of white slip on sandals. I just got these from Franco Sarto and they are to die for—just the right height for everyday wear.

Tied Up 

This tie-side detail has been trending for a few months now and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon! In fact, we’re seeing this accent move from tops to dresses and skirts. Personally, I’m a huge fan as this feature allows you to alter the length of your clothing item without hacking off the bottom. If you want this shirt to be super cropped, give it a good synch. If not, leave it undone to cover more of that mid-drift.

This style is flattering on everyone. This specific tee comes in three different colors and is so easy to dress up or down. With denim shorts and a pair of sneakers you’ve got the perfect everyday outfit for summer.

But, if you’re headed out to dinner, slip into your favorite lace-up heels, a felt hat, and a matching crossbody to dress it up. I also recommend a pair of cropped flare jeans. These are so flattering on petite frames and are incredibly versatile. I wear mine for practically every occasion: work, baseball game, date night, you name it!

Scrunched Sides 

It seems like designers these days can’t get enough of the side details. I love a good tie side, but this scrunched accent is also becoming popular this season. I am obsessed with this color at the moment—it’s a gorgeous shade of green that will make your eyes pop big time. I got so many compliments wearing this outfit last week.

This is the perfect example of my every day attire this time of year. I slipped into a pair of light wash skinny jeans and threw on my favorite gold lace up sandals. Popping on gold hoops and a few other favorite jewelry pieces to complete the look.
