On Wednesday, I shared twelve outfit ideas for your next trip to Miami. Those were what I like to call ~average~ outfits, things for the everyday person whose planning/packing for their trip to Florida. Today, on the other hand, I’m sharing the looks I wore to the fashion shows!
As you know by now, I was in Miami for Swim Week (fashion week but for swimsuits and resort wear). Not only did I network with the most incredible individuals but I was able to sit front and center at some of the most exciting shows of the season. There were so many incredible designers + fun designs.
Of course, I had to show up in style. Sharing some of my “out there” looks from the shows and links to everything for you to shop. Enjoy!

Off to our first event of the week in the coolest dress from Fashion Nova. Believe me, I know this is a pretty “out there” piece but trust me when I say, almost everyone at these events is dressed just as crazy. This tropical print gave the perfect beach vibe and these white details are such a unique touch.
It’s definitely an interesting piece, but it drew so much attention to me which is the goal when at fashion week. I wanted to pull the blue out of this dress, so I threw on some of my favorite block heels from SheIn! These are a few seasons old but still some of my most comfortable heels. Because the rest of this outfit is so busy and bold, I kept my accessories minimal with a pair of gold hoops and a little shoulder bag.

On Thursday evening we went to a SheIn pop-up event where we were able to choose some pieces for ourselves. I ended up grabbing this orange dress and these heels to match. I scored tons of compliments on this monochromatic duo! This dress checks all the boxes of summer trends—fitted midi, bright orange, and a halter neckline. You do have a little bit of underboob with this piece but it’s done tastefully, making this outfit look like an expensive Zara piece!
I have had this yellow satin dress in my closet for months now, waiting for the perfect time to style it. I figured Miami Swim Week was just the right time to pull it out! This dress reminds me of something Oh Polly would sell hence why I wore it to the Oh Polly show. It’s a fitted mini with ruched cups. I love this bustier-style and there was a bit of underwire and padding in this, giving my chest just enough lift. It had those self-tying straps that I love so much too.
Dainty yellow wheels would’ve been the perfect shoe with this combo. Sadly I don’t have any so these white block heels would have to do. Admittedly, these are some of the most uncomfortable heels after about one hour but they photograph beautifully. I added a pair of gold and white earrings to match.
Off to the next event—rooftop cocktails at the Kimpton Anglers and another fashion show. I’m wearing another Fashion Nova dress this time around. I tried picking out pieces that were super unexpecteed/I knew nobody else would be wearing. This dress had the cutest palm print and floral details along it.
Of course, no dress of mine is complete without some sort of statement sleeve. These ones bishops out beautifully and have baby shoulder pads to give it some shape. This also has one of those rings along the torso with a few cutouts accompanied by an open back. It’s quite a unique silhouette but it’s one that is supposed to be super trendy this next season. To pull some green out of the dress I’m throwing on a pair of block heels. This is my go-to heel style if you couldn’t tell—it gives me some height (aka a confidence boost) and elongates my legs in no time.
Sports Illustrated was without a doubt the show I was looking most forward to. I toyed for hours with what to wear to it but ultimately settled on this blue two-piece set from Fashion Nova. I wanted something that seemed professional + powerful yet was still trendy. These pants had me sweating in the Miami heat but they made my legs look miles long and my waist toothpick thin. The top is one of those wrap-around scarves that are so trendy right now! I slicked my hair into a low bun and threw on hoops for the ultimate look.
As cute as this combo is, I do not recommend it at all for the dead of summer in Miami. It was upwards of one hundred degrees every day and my gosh were we dripping in sweat. I saw the model wearing this top and shorts together so naturally, I bought both of them. Leather shorts left my underwear soaking wet after three blocks of walking and although these long sleeves were mesh, I definitely could have used something a little airier.
You definitely could have dressed this look down but for a night out, I popped on a pair of nude heels. Of course, I went for my lace-ups. These are from Lulus and are one of my most worn pairs.

Well, that’s a wrap on the Miami fits! Only two months until New York Fashion Week which means I’ll be back soon with these ladies, shooting all kinds of crazy fits. In the meantime, be sure to give me a follow on Instagram to keep up with all kinds of vacation looks. Talk soon!
