5 Vacation Outfit Ideas For Summer 2021

I’ve been in the Outer Banks for one last taste of paradise before the school year begins. I know I’m not the only one enjoying a week of sunshine and sea salt. In fact, this happens to be one of the busiest tourist weeks of the summer. With that being said, I figured a little last-minute beach vacation inspo was just what the doctor ordered. With a handful of new pieces coming in the mail I’ve got the cutest looks styled for you today!

Beach Day 

I don’t know about you but 90% of my beach days are spent at the actual beach. There’s nothing I love more than a day of sitting in the sand! This yellow suit is the cutest. With full coverage bottoms, a high waist, and an underwire top this suit is family-friendly and super supportive.

Your “outfit” doesn’t have to stop there. I popped on a linen button-up to act as a cover-up. I usually leave mine unbuttoned but you can tie these a few different ways. I popped on some gold jewelry and threw on cat-eye sunglasses to add a little spice to the outfit!

Beach Town Stroll

Of course, the post-beach day calls for a good outdoor shower and an even cuter outfit. We love going down to the boardwalk to stroll in and out of the local shops + cute surf stores. I like a mix of casual and cute for this occasion- gotta keep those beach boys guessing, lol!

This white top is a new Petal and Pup find and my gosh am I in love with it. It’s got huge sleeves that bishop out and a tie front detail that’s adorable. You could easily throw this over your suit or pop it on with a pair of denim shorts like I’ve done here. These are from Princess Polly and are some of my favs. They keep things casual but cropped jeans would be an easy way to style this top for dinner.

To keep things beachy I’m throwing on a pair of espadrille platforms. These have a short heel that give me just enough height. I popped on one of my favorite straw bags to finish off the look. This one is from SheIn and has been my go-to all summer long.

Fam Photos In White 

I know vacation is a popular time to get those updated family photos out of the way. Every time we’re in the Outer Banks at golden hour there are a dozen families out there. I don’t blame them and am guilty as charged for heading out with Madison to enjoy the sunlight! For these timeless photos, I always go for something white.

Not only does it photograph super well, but it goes with whatever the rest of your friends, family, or significant other chooses to wear! You’ll likely be barefoot for beach pictures but just in case, a pair of Jacks will do just fine!

Dinner Date 

Vacay is the perfect time to squeeze in one last date night. Most people on this island tend to wear a cute summer dress to dinner so naturally, I pulled out this one from Petal and Pup. I’m not usually a big fan of body cons but something about this fitted pink mini dress really spoke to me. It’s got a flattering neckline and is the perfect length on my petite frame. 

While you definitely could keep things casual in a pair of flip flops, I chose to spice things up a bit and slipped into my all-time favorite platforms. These are from SheIn giving me about four inches of height. Talk about a major confidence booster!

Back Home In Comfies 

There’s nothing sadder than the trip home after a beach vacay! Although I’m tan and super blonde, the reality check afterward always gives me a run for my money. I like to keep things comfy for the car ride. This two-piece set is perfect. These pieces can easily be mixed and matched to maximize your wardrobe. Together with a pair of sandals, you look polished yet relaxed at the same time. This is the perfect outfit if you have somewhere to be after!
